Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, Grey County, containing by admeasurement 430 acres, more or less, and being Reserve 1957, situated in Block VIII, Waiwhero Survey District, and Block V, Mawheraiti Survey District. As the same is shown on plan No. 120/61 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 28th day of September 1955.

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forest land.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Rotorua County, containing 202 acres and 34 perches, more or less, and being Section 16, Block XIII, Rotorua Survey District. As shown on plan No. 38/72 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 17919.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of September 1955.

As shown on plan No. 30/7 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plans 6957 and 13042.)

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to Donald Stewart Blue, of Ohau Downs, Sheepfarmer, by Allan Cecil Stanley, of Clearburn, Sheepfarmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 11th day of August 1938, and published in the N.Z. Gazette on the 25th day of the same month, at page 1896, authorizing Richard Elijah Vincent, of Ohau Downs, Sheepfarmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been previously assigned to the said Allan Cecil Stanley.

Amending a Licence Authorizing the Taupo Borough Council to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity, and to Erect and Use Electric Lines

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 5th day of October 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends, as set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council dated the 3rd day of March 1952, and published in the N.Z. Gazette on the 13th day of the same month, at page 303, authorizing the Taupo Borough Council to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, and to erect and use electric lines in the Borough of Taupo and portion of the County of Taupo.

SCHEDULE

  1. Clause 6 of the conditions thereof is revoked and the following clause is substituted therefor:

“6. SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY

“The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (j) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The system of supply authorized under paragraph (j) aforesaid shall be a single conductor earth-return system at a voltage of 11,000 volts. The use of the earth-return system of supply shall be subject to such terms and conditions as are from time to time laid down by the General Manager of the State Hydro-electric Department.”

  1. The following additional paragraph is inserted at the end of the Schedule thereto:

“Lines for the supply of electrical energy by the systems of supply hereinbefore described within all that area in the South Auckland Land District being portions of the Taupo and Rotorua Counties bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern shores of Lake Taupo, such point being also the southernmost extremity of the north-western boundary of Block II, Tuhingamata East Survey District; thence north-easterly along the said north-western boundary to the northern boundary of Block II aforesaid; thence easterly along the said northern boundary and the northern boundaries of Blocks XIII, XIV, and XV, Tatua Survey District, to the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned Block; thence southerly along the said eastern boundary and the eastern boundary of Block III, Tauhara Survey District, to a point being the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with a straight line between Trig. 42 Tauhara, in Block III, Tauhara Survey District aforesaid, and Trig. F Tiritiri, in Block III, Heruiwi Survey District; thence easterly along the said straight line to the north-western boundary of State Forest Reserve in Block II, Otukotara Survey District; thence north-easterly along the said north-western boundary to and along the eastern boundary of the Rotorua County as defined in N.Z. Gazette, No. 23, of 20 April 1950, at page 471, to the northern boundary of Block XI, Takapau Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Blocks XI, X, and IX, Takapau Survey District, to the western boundary of the Rotorua County as hereinbefore described, being the middle of the Waikato River; thence south-westerly generally up the middle of the said river to the eastern boundary of Block
