Declaring Land in Otago Land District Vested in the Otago Education Board as a Site for a Public School to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time by Proclamation declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education Board, as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
Lot 2, D.P. 8377, being part Section 43, Block XI, Tuapeka West Survey District: Area, 8 acres 2 roods 10Β·5 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 379, folio 209.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 28th day of September 1955.

Altering the Boundaries of the Waitaki Electric Power District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Waitaki Electric Power District so as to include therein the area described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being portion of the Waimate County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block IX, Hakataramea Survey District, the said point being in the middle of the Waitaki River in line with the rabbit fence forming the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2739; thence generally north-easterly, northerly, and again north-easterly to and along the said rabbit fence (forming generally the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 2739, and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 2739) to a point in line with the western boundary of R.S. 35325; thence southerly to and along that boundary to the northern boundary of R.S. 31771; thence north-easterly generally along the northern boundary of R.S. 31771, the western and northern boundaries of R.S. 26079, and the north-western boundary of R.S. 30125 to its northernmost point; thence south-easterly generally along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of R.S. 30125, the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of R.S. 31541, and the northern and eastern boundaries of R.S. 26075 to its south-eastern corner; thence westerly along the southern boundary of R.S. 26075 to the westernmost corner of R.S. 31772; thence south-easterly generally along the north-eastern boundary of R.S. 28073, and that boundary produced across Hakataramea Main Road, to and along the north-eastern boundary of R.S. 31305, along a right line across the Hakataramea River, to and along the north-eastern boundary of R.S. 28320 and the eastern boundary of R.S. 36119 to its southernmost corner; thence westerly generally along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of R.S. 36121 to the north-eastern boundary of R.S.
