Land at Woodville Taken for Railway Purposes

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Government Railways Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for Railway purposes.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 13471, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission, at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the N.Z. Gazette, become a road; and that the said road shall be under the control of the Southland County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 23·4 perches.
Being railway land adjoining Sections 539 and 540, Block V, Forest Hill Hundred, Southland County. (S.O. 6258.)

PURSUANT to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Lyttelton Harbour Board to invest out of its funds, as shown in the Schedule hereto, the sum of £23,600 in the Christchurch Transport Board Modernization Loan 1950, £950,000, Part IV, of £102,000.

Revocation of Order in Council Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council made on the 1st day of April 1936, and published in the Gazette on the 2nd day of April 1936, at page 684, and affecting the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto.

Authorizing the Lyttelton Borough Council to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Heathcote

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Lyttelton Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof, or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY
- The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a) and (f) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 12th day of March 1959.
SCHEDULE
-
A cable for the transmission of electrical energy commencing at the terminals of the selector switch mounted on a pole forming part of the State Hydro-electric Department’s Woolston–Lyttelton 11 kV transmission line and proceeding down the said pole to the ground, thence underground in an easterly direction to the licensee’s pumping station. All being situated in Section 77, Block XVI, Christchurch Survey District, the said cable being more particularly shown by means of a red line on the plan marked S.H.D. 351/1 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

Lines for the supply of electrical energy commencing at the licensee’s pumping station aforesaid and proceeding as follows:
(a) In an easterly direction to a farm in Lot 18, D.P. 814, Section 77 aforesaid;
(b) In a north-westerly direction to the intersection of the Lyttelton–Christchurch railway and Scruttons Road with branch lines leading as follows:
(i) In a north-westerly direction to the licensee’s pump house in Section 274, Block XVI aforesaid;
(ii) In a northerly then north-easterly direction to a farm in Section 329, Block XVI aforesaid:
the positions of the said lines being indicated by means of green lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 351/2 deposited as aforesaid.
