Revoking the Reservation Over a Reserve in North Auckland Land District


PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation for a reserve for cemetery purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36


PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Manukau County—
All that area adjacent to Papatoetoe Borough, consisting of that portion of Grays Avenue commencing at its junction with the Mangere–Otahuhu Main Highway No. 579 and terminating at a point 3 chains measured along the said road in a south-easterly direction from its junction with Orakau Road.

Approval of Testing Officers Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940


PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being testing officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Blocks VI and X, Christchurch Survey District, for Housing Purposes


NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Fendalton and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 128 acres 2 roods 12 perches.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of an automatic telephone exchange, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Tauranga and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
