LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- This licence is issued under the Water Power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
- Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the said stream at the point in Section 11, Block II, Gore Survey District, indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 84450 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
- The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 84450.
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a pipe line leading to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to giving a static head of approximately 200 ft.
(b) A pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Section 11, Block II, Gore Survey District.
(c) A tail race leading from the said powerhouse to another unnamed stream.
(d) Electric lines leading from the said powerhouse in a north-easterly direction to a house situated in Section 11 aforesaid.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
- The system of supply shall be a direct current system as described in paragraph (d) of Regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1976.
RENTAL
- For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department, and, failing such installation, the rental shall be assessed on the maximum generating capacity of the plant installed. The present plant is rated at 3·5 kilowatts.
NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED
- Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.

Revoking a Previous Order in Council and Reapportioning Representation on the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 12th day of April 1944, and published in the N.Z. Gazette on the 13th day of the same month, at page 359, reapportioning representation on the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board, and in lieu thereof hereby determines as follows:

The number of representatives of each constituent district of the Bay of Islands Electric Power District on the said Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district.

The constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be a combined district for the purposes of the said Act.

The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(P)” should be the principal local authority of such combined district.

The first election of the representatives of the said combined district shall be held on the date of the next general local body elections.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Reporoa Rabbit District Order 1955.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Reporoa Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 21st day of January 1941,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE REPOROA RABBIT BOARD
ALL that area of approximately 176,000 acres in the Rotorua and Taupo Counties in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of part Rotomahana Parekarangi No. 6A 2 No. 1A Block in Block XIV, Tarawera Survey District, and running south-easterly generally along the south-western side of the Rotorua-Taupo State Highway, to and along the south-western boundary of Rotomahana Parekarangi No. 6P 2a Block, to and along the western side of the aforesaid highway, to and along the western side of the Rotorua-Waikaremoana State Highway, to and along the western boundaries of the State forests described in Gazette 1929, page 231, and section 15 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1934, the western boundaries of Section 12, Block VII, Paeroa Survey District (Scenic Reserve, Gazette 1934, page 4289), and of the State forest described in section 6 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1926, the western and southern boundaries of the State forest aforesaid described in Gazette 1929, page 231, the western boundary of the State forest described in Gazette 1922, page 2717, and the western and southern boundaries of the State forest described in Gazette 1926, page 130, to the north-eastern corner of part Paeroa East No. 4A Block, in Block XIII, Kaingaroa Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along the eastern boundaries of the State forest described in Gazettes 1944, page 120 (12,000 acres), and 1929, page 2488, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of the State forest described in Gazette 1927, page 2392, the north-western boundary of the State forest described in Gazette 1930, page 2039, and the generally northern boundary of the State forest described in Gazette 1931, page 3412, to the north-eastern side of the Taupo-Napier State Highway; thence north-westerly along that side of the said highway, to and along the eastern and northern boundaries of the Borough of Taupo as described in Gazette No. 51 of the 10th day of September 1953, at page 1476, to the Waikato River; thence generally northerly down the right bank of that river to the southernmost corner of Paeroa South A No. 3 Block in Block X, Ngongotaha Survey District; thence north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid A No. 3 Block along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Paeroa South A No. 2 Block in Block IX, Paeroa Survey District, along the northern boundary of that A No. 2 Block, to and along the generally eastern boundary of Section 2, Block VIII, Ngongotaha Survey District (Te Kopis Scenic Reserve, Gazette 1911, page 1577), and the south-eastern boundary of Rotomahana Parekarangi 6A 2 No. 2a 1 Block, to Trig. Station No. 31 (Paeroa) in Block V, Paeroa Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the south-eastern boundary of Rotomahana Parekarangi No. 2b Block in Block II, Paeroa Survey District, and along the south-eastern boundaries of Rotomahana Parekarangi Nos. 2E 6, 2E 7, and 2E 5 Blocks, to the point of commencement.
