At the Government House at Wellington this 21st day of September 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Matamata County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereon.

Licence Under the Medical Act 1908

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS William Dalrymple Trotter, a registered medical practitioner, has applied for a licence to practise anatomy at the School of Anatomy at the Medical School, Dunedin, being a School of Anatomy established under the Medical Act 1908, and has complied with the provisions of section 26 of that Act:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Medical Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants to the said William Dalrymple Trotter a licence to practise anatomy at the School of Anatomy at the Medical School, Dunedin.

Authorizing the Borrowing by the Lower Hutt Fire Board by Way of Hypothecation of Debentures Issued in Respect of a Loan of £55,000

At the Government House at Wellington this 7th day of September 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 15th day of June 1955, consent was given to the raising by the Lower Hutt Fire Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of fifty-five thousand pounds to be known as “Central Fire Station Loan No. 2 1955” (hereinafter called the said loan):

And whereas the said local authority, pending the raising of the said loan, is desirous of borrowing the sum of six thousand five hundred pounds (hereinafter called the said sum) by hypothecation or mortgage pursuant to section 34 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 of the debentures authorized to be issued in respect of the said loan:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 7 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act 1932–33 and section 8 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the said local authority borrowing the said sum or any part thereof by the hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures to the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand at a rate of interest not exceeding four per cent per annum, such interest to be computed on the daily-debtor balances in the accounts of the Corporation, repayable on demand, but so that the term shall not exceed one year, and hereby prescribes that the money borrowed by the hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures shall, pending the raising of the said loan, be repaid by the annual or half-yearly instalments equivalent to the instalments of principal which would have been repaid if on the first day on which any money was borrowed by such hypothecation or mortgage the whole of the amount hereby authorized to be hypothecated or mortgaged had been raised on the conditions already determined under the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926.

Authorizing the Borrowing by the Stratford Borough Council by Way of Hypothecation of Debentures Issued in Respect of a Loan of £10,000

At the Government House at Wellington this 14th day of September 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 14th day of September 1955 consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Stratford Borough Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of ten thousand pounds (hereinafter called the said loan) to be known as “Land Development Loan 1955”:

And whereas the said local authority, pending the raising of the said loan in accordance with the determinations of the Local Government Loans Board as sanctioned on the 30th day of March 1955, is desirous of borrowing the said loan or part thereof by hypothecation or mortgage, pursuant to section 34 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, of the debentures authorized to be issued in respect of the said loan:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 7 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act 1932–33 and section 8 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the said local authority, pending the raising of the said loan in accordance with the said determinations, borrowing the said loan or any part thereof by the hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures at a rate of interest not exceeding four per cent per annum, and hereby prescribes that the money borrowed by the hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures shall, pending the raising of the said loan, be repaid by annual or half-yearly instalments equivalent to the instalments of principal which would have been repaid if on the first day on which any money was borrowed by such hypothecation or mortgage the whole of the said loan of ten thousand pounds had been raised in accordance with the said determinations.
