Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Orders in Council made on the 24th day of February 1953 and the 14th day of April 1954, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Akitio County Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of four thousand pounds to be known as “Bridges Loan 1953” and a loan of three thousand pounds to be known as “Bridges Loan 1954” respectively:
And whereas the authorities conferred by the said Orders in Council have not been exercised to the extent of six hundred pounds and two thousand three hundred pounds respectively:
And whereas the said local authority, pending the raising of the said respective amounts of six hundred pounds and two thousand three hundred pounds, is desirous of borrowing sums of six hundred pounds and two thousand three hundred pounds each in respect of each respective loan (hereinafter called the said respective sums) by hypothecation or mortgage pursuant to section 34 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 of the debentures authorized to be issued in respect of the said respective sums:
