Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 12th day of September 1955.
SCHEDULE
Approximate area of the piece of land declared Crown land: 1 acre and 9·1 perches.
Being part Fairburn’s Grant 269A.
Situated in the Borough of Otahuhu, Auckland R.D. (S.O. 39071.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 147773 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Time and Place of Elections by Fire Insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Boards for the Greymouth, Hokitika, Westport Urban Fire Districts, and on the Fire Committees for the Reefton, Runanga Urban Fire Districts
Pursuant to the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon Tuesday, the 27th day of September 1955, as the time, and the office of the Canterbury Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association, 137 Hereford Street, Christchurch, as the place for the holding of a meeting of representatives of insurance companies carrying on fire insurance business in New Zealand to elect members to the Fire Boards for the Greymouth, Hokitika, and Westport Urban Fire Districts, and to the Fire Committees for the Reefton and Runanga Urban Fire Districts.
