Cancelling the Vesting of Reserves in the Franklin County
Council

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the
Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of
Franklin of the reserves for recreation purposes described in
the Schedule hereto.

Cancelling the Vesting and Revoking the Reservation Over a
Reserve in Hawke’s Bay Land District

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the
Southern Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board and revokes the reserva-
tion for a reserve for rabbit board buildings over the land
described in the Schedule hereto.

Revoking Warrants Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated
Localities and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated
Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949,
Section 36

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the
Minister of Transport hereby revokes those warrants
dated the 27th day of May 1952* and the 16th day of June
1947† relating to closely populated localities in Paparua
County, and hereby declares the area described in the Schedule
hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of
the said section to the intent that any person driving any
motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the
maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the
said section.

SITUATED within Paparua County—

All those roads hereinafter described:

(1) Christchurch–Kumara Junction State Highway No.
57 (from Racecourse Road to the Christchurch–Timaru
State Highway No. 58).

(2) Christchurch–Timaru State Highway No. 58 (from
the eastern boundary of Paparua County to Seymour Street).

(3) Sockburn–Rakaih Huts Main Highway No. 114
(from the Christchurch–Timaru State Highway No. 58 to a
point 3 chains south-west of Amyes Road).

(4) Hornby–Springston Main Highway No. 210 (from the
Christchurch–Timaru State Highway No. 58 to a point 3
chains south-west of Seymour Street).

(5) Hornby–Masham Main Highway No. 297 (from the
Christchurch–Timaru State Highway No. 58 to Buchanans
Road).

(6) Amyes, Avro, Ballantyne, Brynley’s, Bucknell, Chel-
sea, Craven, Curletts (from the Christchurch–Timaru State
Highway No. 58 to Blenheim Road), Dehavilland, Dicksons,
English, Epsom, Finsbury, Fulham, Garvins, Hansons,
Haynes, Hillary, Homer, Middlepark, Mortlake, Neill,
O’Briens, Owens, Queen, Racecourse, Roche, Seymour, Suva,

Revoking Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated
Locality and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated
Locality for the Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport
Act 1949

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the
Minister of Transport hereby revokes that warrant dated
the 5th day of August 1952* which refers to part of the area
described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares the
area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated
locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that
a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall
be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an
hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waitamata County—

All that area consisting of that portion of the New Lynn–
Huia via Brooklyn Main Highway No. 808, commencing at a
point 32 chains measured along the said main highway in a
south-westerly direction from its junction with the Waitakere
Scenic Drive State Highway No. 38 and terminating at the
south-western boundary of the Borough of New Lynn.

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the
Minister of Transport hereby revokes that warrant dated
the 14th day of January 1955* relating to a closely populated
locality adjoining the Woodbourne Aerodrome, and hereby
declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a
closely populated locality to the intent that a person driving
any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the
maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the
said section.

SITUATED within Marlborough County—

All that area adjoining the Woodbourne Aerodrome con-
sisting of that portion of the Blenheim–Nelson State Highway
No. 52 commencing at a point 16 chains measured in a
westerly direction from its junction with Grahams Cross Road,
proceeding thence in a westerly direction and terminating at
a point on the said State Highway 34 chains measured in a
westerly direction from the commencing point.

Approving of Colour of Reflecting Material and Type and
Colour of Background for Signs of Class E (Stop Signs)

PURSUANT to regulation 2 of the Traffic Sign Regulations
1937* (as amended by regulation 2 of the Traffic Sign
Regulations 1937, Amendment No. 5), the Minister of Trans-
port hereby approves in respect of signs of Class E (stop
signs)—

(a) Of the reflecting material being of a white, grey, light
green, or silver colour; and

(b) Of the background to the sign being red in colour with
the octagonal border to the sign being marked out
in reflecting material as above described.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the
Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that
the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said
regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade
motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned,
but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the
