HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Hawera Borough Council at its meeting held on the 15th day of August 1955 has resolved to prepare for the Hawera Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Hawera District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office, Hawera, on or before the 31st day of October 1955.

PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £11,000 authorized to be raised by the Pukekohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring, subdividing, and developing land for building allotments and constructing a street thereon, the said Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-two one hundredths of a penny (32/100d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Pukekohe; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five (5) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council held on the 17th day of August 1955.

THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Joint Committee of the New Plymouth City Council and the Taranaki County Council, appointed in pursuance of section 31 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, at its meeting held on the 18th day of August 1955, has resolved to prepare for the portion of the City of New Plymouth and the portion of the County of Taranaki described in the Schedule hereto, and to be known as the “Combined Areas Section”, a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “City of New Plymouth and County of Taranaki Combined Areas Section Scheme” should be addressed to either the Town Clerk or the County Clerk and delivered to their respective officers on or before the 4th day of November 1955.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR WATER WORKS IN BLOCK III, WAIRO SURVEY DISTRICT, AND BLOCK XXVII, WAIRAKI SURVEY DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to carry out certain works, namely, to construct a water reservoir and gravity main for supply of water to the Ohai Township, and the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto are therefore required to be taken for water works; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Office of the Wallace County Council, Otautau, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the execution of such works or the taking of such land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the date of this notice (being the date of the first publication thereof), to the Wallace County Council, Otautau.
