In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of Riccarton Provisions Limited.
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 2nd day of August 1955 presented to the said Court by the Deputy Chief Commissioner of Inland Revenue on behalf of the Inland Revenue Department, and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Christchurch on the 2nd day of September 1955 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

The notice must state the name, address, and description of the person or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm, and an address for service within three miles of the office of the Supreme Court at Christchurch, and must be signed by the person or firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be served, or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioner’s address for service not later than 4 o’clock in the afternoon of the 1st day of September 1955.

MEETING OF CREDITORS
NOTICE is given that a meeting of creditors of Robert David Donaldson, Company Manager, of Wellington, will be held at 39 Johnston Street, Wellington C.1, at the offices of Watkins Hull Wheeler and Johnston, at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 22 1955, for the purpose of considering his financial position and approving, if thought fit, the release of the assignment of his estate, dated 13 August 1953.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Wellington City Transport Loan 1955 of £944,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 10th day of August 1955:
“In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of nine hundred and forty-four thousand pounds (£944,000) to be known as the Wellington City Transport Loan 1955 of £944,000 authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the abovementioned Act for the purposes of—
“‘(a) Purchasing diesel buses;
“‘(b) Purchasing and installing material and equipment and purchasing land to complete a trolley bus circuit from Hunter Street to Courtenay Place;
“‘(c) Purchasing trolley buses and diesel buses, purchasing and erecting overhead equipment, reconstructing workshops, yards, and barns at Kilbirnie, acquiring properties, removing buildings, and carrying out other works incidental to the conversion of the transport system to the Eastern Suburbs to trolley-bus and diesel-bus operation;
“‘the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six hundred and forty-three eight-hundredths of a penny (643/800d.) in the pound on the rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’”

BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Drainage Extension Loan (1954), £10,650
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“‘That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £10,650 authorized to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of extending the drainage system, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Motueka Drainage Special Rating Area within the Borough of Motueka; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’”

OTAUTAU TOWN COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Otautau Town Council hereby resolves as follows:
“‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,650 authorized to be raised by the Otautau Town Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of sealing streets, the said Otautau Town Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the Otautau Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’”

OTAUTAU TOWN COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Otautau Town Council hereby resolves as follows:
“‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,250 authorized to be raised by the Otautau Town Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of erecting a worker’s dwelling, the said Otautau Town Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the Otautau Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’”

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amendments, and all other Acts, powers, and authorities in that behalf enabling it, the Ekatahuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“‘That, for the purpose of providing for the charges (principal and interest) on a loan of £1,500 (fifteen hundred pounds), to be known as ‘Machinery Loan 1955’, authorized to be raised by the Ekatahuna Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purchase of a tractor, attachments, sundry machinery, and materials, the said Ekatahuna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the pound (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable land in the Borough of Ekatahuna; and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of seven (7) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’”
We, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Ekatahuna Borough Council held in the Borough Chambers, Main Street, Ekatahuna, on 25 May 1955.
