Land Held for Workers’ Dwellings Set Apart for Electricity Purposes, in the City of Wellington

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for workers’ dwellings and vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington by a Proclamation dated 13 November 1947 and published in Gazette, 20 November 1947, Volume III, page 1803;

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the said land is hereby set apart as from the 22nd day of August 1955 for electricity purposes.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125995 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 10th day of August 1955.

Leasehold Estates in Land Taken for the Development of Water Power (Roxburgh Power Scheme; Lake Hawea Control) in Lower Hawea, Mid Hawea, Upper Hawea, and Mid Wanaka Survey Districts

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the First Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Ernest Reid, of Oamaru, Engineer, and Frederick Horace Benson, of Oamaru, Jeweller, as tenants in common in equal shares, under and by virtue of Crown renewable lease under Part III of the Land Act 1924, and the Mining Act 1908, No. 382, National Endowment, Volume 206, folio 182, Otago Land Registry, and the leasehold estate in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by John Allingham Mead, of Wanaka, Farmer, under and by virtue of Crown pastoral lease of pastoral land under the Land Act 1948, No. P.44, Volume 338, folio 51, Otago Land Registry, are thereby taken for the development of water power (Roxburgh Power Scheme; Lake Hawea Control).

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by John Allan McPherson of Coal Creek, Sheepfarmer, under and by virtue of Crown renewable lease under Part III of the Land Act 1908, and of the Mining Act 1908, No. 139, Volume 163, folio 113, Otago Land Registry, is hereby taken for a surfaceman’s cottage; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of August 1955.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Harold Mullan, of Weimangaroa, labourer, under and by virtue of Renewable Crown Lease, Volume 115, folio 118, Nelson Land Registry, is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of August 1955.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a post office; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of August 1955.
