Closed Street in the City of Hamilton Added to Land Acquired for the Purposes of the Housing Act 1919 [L.S.] C.W.M.NORRIE, Governor-General A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to subsection (5) of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 3948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land, being closed street, described in the First Schedule hereto to be added to the land, being land acquired for the purposes of the Housing Act 1919, described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Approximate area of the closed street: 4 acres and 8 perches. Being closed street in Proclamation 8.86787, Auckland Land Registry, N.Z. Gazette of 12 May 1965, No. 33, page 762.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Land Acquired for the Purposes of the Housing Act 1919 All that area in the City of Hamilton, Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 29 acres 3 roods 8.2 perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 18210, Lot 1, D.P. 10121, all land on D.P. 15435 and D.P. 23609, and parts Lot 56, D.R.O. Plan 305, being parts Allotment 84, Parish of Pukete.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of August 1955.

Boundaries of City of New Plymouth and County of Taranaki Altered

The Right Hon. S.Q. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

Whereas, pursuant to section 137 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area of land be excluded from the County of Taranaki and included in the City of New Plymouth:

And whereas, pursuant to section 15 of the Local Government Commission Act 1953, the said petition was referred to the Local Government Commission:

And whereas, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme beating date the 19th day of May 1966, providing for the exclusion of the area described in the Schedule to the said scheme from the County of Taranaki and the inclusion of that area in the City of New Plymouth:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme as hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that as on and from the let day of October 1955 the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Taranaki and included in the City of New Plymouth, and with the like advice and consent hereby also declares that the alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said city hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE AREA EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF TARANAKI AND INCLUDED IN CITY OF NEW PLYMOUTH

All that area in the Taranaki Land District situated in Block IV, Paritutu Survey District, containing 125 acres 1 rood 34 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point at the centre of Blagdon Road on the boundary of the City of New Plymouth, and proceeding generally easterly, southerly, and westerly along the boundary of the City of New Plymouth as described in the N.Z. Gazette No. 44 of the 29th day of May 1941, at page 1488, to the centre of Omata Road, thence generally northerly along the centre of Omata Road and the centre of Blagdon Road to the boundary of the City of New Plymouth, being the point of commencement.
