Declaring Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District Vested in the Hawke’s Bay Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 6 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time by Proclamation declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Hawke’s Bay Education Board, as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

SECTION 7, Block XV, Patoka Survey District (Waihau Settlement): Area, 5 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 2117.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of August 1955.

A PROCLAMATION

PARTS Section 23, Block X, Waipoua Survey District: Area, 8 acres 2 roods 35·7 perches, more or less. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 22/3630/147A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington and thereon ridged red. (S.O. Plan 38813.)
