THE CENTRAL WAIKATO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

AMENDED RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Special Loan 1954, £70,000

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Central Waikato Electric Power Board held on the 20th day of July 1955, the following amended resolution was passed:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Special Loan 1954, of £70,000, authorized to be raised by the Central Waikato Electric Power Board for the purpose of financing extensions and improvements to its reticulation system within the Board’s Electric Supply District, the Central Waikato Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal 0·062 of a penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Central Waikato Electric Power District, as the same is defined by Proclamation published in the N.Z. Gazette on the 27th day of July 1939 at page 2042; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.’’

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and their amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Pahiatua, propose under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and all other Acts and powers enabling them in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, the taking and laying out of the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public street, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the Council of the said Borough in the Borough Offices, Main Street, Pahiatua, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days of the first publication of this notice to the Borough Council of Pahiatua, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

THE SCHEDULE REFERRED TO

ALL those pieces of land containing 1 acre and 12·63 perches, more or less, being parts of Section 20, Block VIII, Mangahao Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 37, folio 275, bounded towards the west by Lots 181, 186, 195, and 196, Deposited Plan 325, 1056·3 links, towards the east by Lots 166, 176, 180, and 179, Deposited Plan 325, and Lot 6, Deposited Plan 17107, 1101·6 links, towards the north by Lot 254, Deposited Plan 377, 100·2 links, and towards the south by Huia Street, 100·2 links, as the said parcel of land is delineated on the said plan deposited in the public office of the said Town Clerk as aforesaid, and therein coloured sepia.

HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200,000 authorized to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing additional moneys for the further reticulation of the Board’s Electric Power District, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-fortieths of a penny (⁹⁄₄₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Hutt Valley Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Board held on 21 July 1955.
