BOUNDARIES OF KAIKORAI RIDING OF COUNTY OF TAIERI

All that area in the Taieri County bounded by a line commencing on the sea coast at the mouth of the Kaikorai Stream and on its left bank; then generally northerly along the left bank of the stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; then generally north-westerly along that block boundary to the Dunedin–Gore State Highway; then south-easterly along the centre of that highway to a point in line with the eastern side of the road forming the north-western boundary of Section 77, Block VII aforesaid; then generally north-easterly to and along the south-eastern side of that road to and along the north-western boundary of Section 15, Block VI, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, to and across a road, to and generally north-easterly along the southern side of the Wingatui–Halfway Bush Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 8, Block VI aforesaid; then north-westerly to and along the said boundary and the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 2 of 1 and the south-western boundary of Section 1 of 1, Block VI aforesaid, to a road; then generally easterly along the southern side of that road and the Dunedin–Dukes Road Railway Station Main Highway to the western boundary of Wakari Survey District; then easterly, northerly, and again easterly along the boundaries of Wakari Survey District to the City of Dunedin boundary at the easternmost corner of Section 31, Wakari Survey District; then generally south-westerly along the boundary of the City of Dunedin as described in New Zealand Gazette of 18 August 1949, at page 1724, to its junction with the boundary of the Borough of Green Island at a point in the centre of Townleys Road on the south-eastern boundary of Section 45, Block VI, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; then generally north-westerly, westerly, southerly, and easterly along the boundary of the Borough of Green Island, hereinbefore described, to its junction with the boundary of the City of Dunedin at the intersection of the north-eastern boundary of part Section 70, Ocean Beach Survey District; in certificate of title, Volume 275, folio 29, and the southern boundary of Middleton Road; then generally southerly along the boundary of the City of Dunedin described in New Zealand Gazette 1949, page 1724, to the high-water mark of the Pacific Ocean; then generally south-westerly along the high-water mark of the ocean to the point of commencement.
