OHURA TOWN COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Ohura Town Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £4,000 authorized to be raised by the Ohura Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of water reticulation, the said Ohura Town Council makes and levies a special rate of 5d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Township of Ohura; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.”

WOODVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1938
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Woodville Borough Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the widening of a public street, for which purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the Woodville Borough Council under the provisions of the above Act.
A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open to inspection at the office of the Council, Vogel Street, Woodville. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing to the Town Clerk, Woodville Borough Council, Vogel Street, Woodville, within forty (40) days of the first publication of this notice.

Approximate area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood. Being all that rectangular piece of land having a frontage of 1000 links and a depth of 25 links and lying between Fergusson Street and Lots 21 to 30 (inclusive) on D.P. 1207, Hawke’s Bay Land Registry. Situated in the Borough of Woodville.

BOROUGH OF ROTORUA
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of forty-two thousand pounds (£42,000) authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 for the purpose of kerbing and channelling, providing stormwater drainage, and replacing a bridge and widening a bridge over the Utuhina Stream, the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal three pence (0·3d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Rotorua Borough Council held on the 4th day of July 1955.

PAPATOETOE BOROUGH COUNCIL
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Papatoetoe Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the acquisition and subdivision of land in and adjoining Landscape Road in the Borough of Papatoetoe for housing, and for the purposes of such public works the lands described in the Schedule thereto are required to be taken. All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or of the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, St. George Street, Papatoetoe.
SCHEDULE
All that piece of land situated in Landscape Road in the Borough of Papatoetoe containing two roods thirty decimal two perches (2r. 30·2p.), more or less, being Lot two (2) on Deposited Plan 42434 and being part of Allotment 42 of the Parish of Manurewa, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 1133, folio 280, Auckland Registry.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Makara County Staff Housing Loan 1955, £12,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,000 authorized to be raised by the Makara County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land, erecting houses, and purchasing houses to accommodate Council employees, the said Makara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-three hundredths pence (0·33d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in that portion of the Makara Riding of the County of Makara (as defined in N.Z. Gazette, No. 121, of 28 November 1940, at page 3411), situated within Block II, Belmont Survey District, and Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, and the Porirua Riding of the County of Makara (as above defined), excluding Section 109, Block IX, Paekakariki Survey District, and Komangarautawhia Block and Wairere Blocks 1 and 2 of Block I, Belmont Survey District, and Sections 38, 39, 40, 41, and 120 of Block V, Belmont Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of March and the 15th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Makara County Council on 8 July 1955.
