PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of street closed: 24·3 perches. Adjoining Lots 16, 17, 18, and 33, Deeds Plan 126, being part Section 102 and part Section 103.
Situated in Block XII, Tokomairiro Survey District.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 147089 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier railway.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 1 acre. Being Subdivision 2A, Pukerohitu Block.
Situated in Block XXII, Te Mata Survey District, Hawke's Bay County. (S.O. 2881.)

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby reappoints
Edward Coldham Fussell, Esquire, C.M.G., B.A.,
to be the Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, to hold office, subject to the provisions of the said Act, for a term of seven years commencing from the 21st day of July 1955.

Validating Valuation List Made by Wyndham Town Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 13th day of July 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the valuation list for the Town District of Wyndham was prepared and transmitted to the Wyndham Town Council (hereinafter referred to as the said Council) pursuant to section 8 of the Rating Act 1925:
And whereas the said Council caused the valuation list so sent to it to be deposited for public inspection and publicly notified that such list was open for inspection and of the place where it was deposited and of the manner in which objections thereto should be made:
And whereas by reason of circumstances beyond the control of the said Council the public notification aforesaid was not published on one occasion within the period specified by section 15 of the said Act:
And whereas it is desirable to validate the proceedings in connection with the said valuation list:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 99 of the said Act, and so that the intent and purpose of the said Act may have effect, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the proceedings in connection with the said valuation list shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the said Council had once in each week during the prescribed period given the public notification required by the said section 15 of the said Act; and accordingly declares that the said valuation list shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.
