Declaring Land to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land and to be subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 104 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, being the block of land known as Rangiwaea 4F 7A, situate in Block VII, Karioi Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 214, folio 287, Wellington Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of July 1955.

Altering the Boundaries of the Malvern Electric Power District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Malvern Electric Power District so as to include therein the areas described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

1. All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Selwyn County, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point in Block V, Hororata Survey District, on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District (N.Z. Gazette No. 54 of 15 September 1949, page 2296), the said point being the northernmost corner of Reserve 3296; then proceeding in a westerly direction generally along the southern boundary of Rural Section 37077 to the easternmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 12460; then north-westerly, westerly, and south-westerly along the north-eastern, northern, and north-western boundaries of the said Lot 1, D.P. 12460, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Boundary Creek; then southerly generally along the middle of Boundary Creek aforesaid to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 37900; then north-westerly to and along the north-eastern boundary of the said Rural Section 37900 and its production to the middle of High Peak Road; then in a north-easterly direction along the middle of High Peak Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 2683; then in a north-westerly direction to and along the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 2, D.P. 2683, to the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 2683; then north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 1, D.P. 2683, to the easternmost corner of that Lot; then in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 1, D.P. 2683, crossing Aynsleys Road and Bush Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 2683 aforesaid; then again north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of part Rural Section 37109 and its production to the middle of the Acheron River; then south-westerly generally down the middle of the Acheron River aforesaid to the middle of the Rakaia River; then in a south-easterly direction generally down the middle of the Rakaia River aforesaid to a point on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District; then northerly, easterly, northerly, westerly, and again northerly generally along that boundary to the northernmost corner of Reserve 3296, the point of commencement. As the said area is more particularly shown outlined in red on the plan marked S.H.D. 344 deposited in the Office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

2. All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Selwyn County bounded as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the middle lines of Bealey’s Road, and the Hororata-Dunsandel Main Highway No. 196, in Block XIII, Hawkins Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District (N.Z. Gazette No. 54 of 28 June 1923, page 1770); then south-westerly generally along the middle of Bealey’s Road, the middle of Ardlui Road, to a point in line with the southern boundary of R.S. 37000; then to and along that boundary to the south-western corner of that section; then by a right line to the northernmost corner of R.S. 37009; then along the western boundary of that section, the crossing of Boundary Road, to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 3967, to the middle of the road forming the western boundary of the said Lot; then along the middle of that road and the middle of Sharland’s Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 2590; then to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Rakaia River; then north-westerly along the middle of the Rakaia River to a point in line with the middle of Steel’s Road on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District (N.Z. Gazette No. 54 of 15 September 1949, page 2296); then north-easterly generally along the boundary of the said power district to the point of commencement. As the said area is more particularly shown outlined in red on the plan marked S.H.D. 345 deposited as aforesaid.

3. All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Selwyn County, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point in the middle of the Selwyn River on the northern boundary of the Selwyn Survey District, the said point being on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District (N.Z. Gazette No. 54 of 28 June 1923, page 1770); then westerly along the boundary of that Survey District, to and south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Rural Section 4249 and its production to the middle of the Hororata River; then south-easterly generally along the middle of that river to a point in line with the western boundary of Rural Section 37597; then to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Dunsandel-Hororata Main Highway No. 196; then north-westerly along the middle of that Main Highway to its junction with Donalds Road, on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District, aforesaid; then north-easterly and south-easterly along the boundary of the said power district to the point of commencement. As the said area is more particularly shown outlined in red on the plan marked S.H.D. 346 deposited as aforesaid and thereon marked “Pt. 3”.

4. All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Malvern County, bounded as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the middle lines of Aylesbury and Burnham Road and Sandy Knolls Road in Block II, Leeston Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District (N.Z. Gazette No. 54 of 28 June 1923, page 1770); then south-westerly generally to and along the middle of the road forming the north-western boundary of Reserve 1176 to the middle of the Selwyn River; then north-westerly along the middle of that river to a point in line with the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 27299, in Block III, Selwyn Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District, aforesaid; then north-easterly and south-easterly generally along the boundary of the said Power District to the point of commencement. As the said area is more particularly shown outlined in red on the said plan S.H.D. 346 and thereon marked “Pt. 4”.

5. All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Tawera County, bounded as follows: Commencing in the middle of the road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section 35105 in line with the eastern boundary of Rural Section 35106A, in Block XV, Kowai Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District (N.Z. Gazette No. 54 of 28 June 1923, page 1770); then north-westerly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 35106A aforesaid and the production to the middle of Dalethorpe Road; then easterly along the middle of that road and northerly along the middle of the road forming the western boundary of Rural Section 22864 in Block XIV, Kowai Survey District, to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rural Section 22621; then south-easterly generally along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 22621, the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 22642, the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 23364, the north-western boundary of Rural Section 23361 to the middle of the road forming the south-western boundary of that section; then along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 23361 aforesaid; then to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 23361 aforesaid; then along the middle of that road and the middle of the road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section 23073 to the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District aforesaid; then southerly and south-westerly along the boundary of the said Power District to the point of commencement. As the said area is more particularly shown outlined in red on the plan marked S.H.D. 347 deposited as aforesaid and thereon marked “Pt. 5”.

6. All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Tawera County, bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-western corner of Rural Section 37076, in Block XI, Kowai Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Malvern Electric Power District (N.Z. Gazette No. 54, of 28 June 1923, page 1770); then westerly generally along the northern boundaries of Lot 2 and Lot 1, D.P. 17483, the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 14407, the crossing of a public road, the western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 14407 aforesaid, and its production to the middle of the South Branch of the Kowai River; then westerly along the middle of that river to the middle of the road forming the south-western boundary of Reserve 1082; then north-westerly along the middle of that road and its production to the middle of the Kowai River; then easterly along the middle of that river to a point in line with the middle of the road forming the western boundary of Rural Section 3713; then northerly to and along the middle of that road, the crossing of Porters Pass Road; and along the middle of a road forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 31915 to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Rural Section 31206; then north-easterly generally to and along that boundary, the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 31351, the north-western boundary of Rural Section 31208, and the north-western boundary of Rural Section 21136 and its production to the middle of the Rubicon River; then south-easterly along the middle of that river to a point in line with the
