Result of Election for Appointment of Members to Dental
Council of New Zealand
PURSUANT to the Dental Regulations 1937, I, George
William Lenton Hanlon, the Returning Officer for the
purposes of those regulations, hereby give the following notice
with respect to the elections of persons for appointment to
the Dental Council of New Zealand under paragraphs (d)
and (e) of section 3 (2) of the Dentists Act 1936.
- The result of the poll of dentists whose registered
addresses are in the North Island was as follows:

cote Weir, to be elected for appointment to the Council.

BOROUGH OF HASTINGS
Notice of Result of Poll
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926,
I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Hastings, taken on the 16th day of June 1955, on
the proposal of the Hastings Borough Council to borrow the
sum of £60,000 for the purpose of completing the purchase of
a site for the erection of the Hastings and District War
Memorial, the voting was as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1071.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1066.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
