Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36


PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein at any time during the period commencing on the 18th day of December of each year and ending on the 7th day following Easter Monday in the next ensuing year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.


SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Featherston County:

All that portion of Lake Ferry Road commencing at a point 60 chains north-east of the Lake Ferry Hotel as at present situated and terminating at the end of the said road near the Lake Ferry Hotel.

  1. Isles Road from its junction with Selwyn Road to its junction with Larcy Street.
  2. Fairley Road.
  3. Burn Road.
  4. Hilton Road.
  5. Lewis Road.
  6. Selwyn Road.
  7. Lynmore Avenue.
  8. Lynbert Road.
  9. Larcy Street.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XVIII, Hundalee Survey District, for a Public School


NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public school, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Kaikoura and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 2 roods 29·9 perches.

Being part Section 1, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 18, folio 128, Marlborough Land Registry.

Situated in Block XVIII, Hundalee Survey District, Marlborough R.D. (S.O. 4090.)

In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145795 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land, Subject to Certain Interests, and Revoking Previous Notice


PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby revokes the notice dated 4 May 1955 and published in Gazette, 5 May, No. 32, page 743, declaring land to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948, subject to certain interests, and hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto which was acquired subject to the interests created by Conveyance No. 119589, Auckland Deeds Registry, to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948, subject to the aforesaid interests, as from the 18th day of July 1955.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared Crown land: 38·19 perches.

Being Lot 38, D.P. S.858, being part Allotment 39, Parish of Pepepe, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 908, folio 3, Auckland Land Registry.

Situated in the Borough of Huntly.
