Declaring Lands in Hawke’s Bay, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts Vested in the Hawke’s Bay, Canterbury, and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements, affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Hawke’s Bay Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board, and the lands described in the Third Schedule hereto being areas vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT
SECTIONS 8, 9, and 11, Block VII, Kumeroa Village, situated in Block IX, Tahoraiti Survey District: Area, 3 acres 2 roods, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume 57, folios 70, 86, and 89.

SECOND SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
Lot 1, Deposited Plan No. 14086, being part Rural Section 18318, situated in Block XIII, Opihi Survey District: Area, 1 acre and 2·3 perches, more or less. Balance certificate of title, Volume 145, folio 233.

Crown Land Set Apart for the Development of Water Power (Depot) in Block II, Aparima Hundred

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the development of water power (depot); and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 18th day of July 1955.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 1 rood.
Being Lot 11, D.P. 682, being part Section 8, Block II, Aparima Hundred, and being part of the land comprised and described in Proclamation No. 2301, Southland Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 11th day of July 1955.
