ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of
June 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
orders and declares that the portion of road described in the
Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in
Council, become county road.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District,
Patea County, containing an area of 1 acre 3 roods 16·4
perches, more or less, commencing at a point on the Whenua-
kura Road and proceeding in a north-westerly direction for a
distance of 18 chains 39 links, more or less, to the south-
eastern boundary of Section 472, Okotuku Block, and adjoining
Sections 472, 473, and 475, Okotuku Block, Block V,
Wairoa Survey District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 146878 deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby con-
sents to the Raglan County Council stopping the portions of
road described in the Schedule hereto.

***Temporarily Appointing a Member of the Auckland Tramways
Appeal Board

WHEREAS it is provided in clause 12 of the regulations
under the Tramways Amendment Act 1910, made on
the 2nd day of February 1911, that in the case of the unavoid-
able absence of either of the members of the Board other than
the Chairman, the Governor-General may temporarily appoint
some suitable person to act as a member of the Board during
such absence:
And whereas the employees' representative on the Board is
unavoidably absent and it is expedient that a temporary
member should be appointed:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby
Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, pursuant
to clause 12 of the said regulations, hereby appoint
Howard Harrington Jeffreys,
of Auckland, to be the representative of the employees on the
Auckland Tramways Appeal Board during the absence of the
employees' representative.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 24th day of June 1955.

and with seniority as from 21 April 1953. Dated 21 April 1954.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 65,
dated 21 October 1954, page 1661, relative to "Acting Pilot
Officer Donald Bernard REED" is hereby cancelled, and the
following substituted:
Acting Pilot Officer Donald Bernard REED (783606) is
transferred from the General Duties Branch, Territorial Air
Force, and is granted a short-service commission for a period
of four years with his present rank and seniority, to be fol-
lowed by a period of four years in the Reserve of Air Force
Officers. Dated 30 August 1954.
