Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Timaru Harbour Board to invest the sum of six thousand five hundred pounds (£6,500) of its Renewal and Reserve Fund in the debentures of the Timaru Fire Board for a term of ten years at 4 per cent.

Investment of £20,300 of the Taranaki Harbour Board Funds

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Taranaki Harbour Board to invest the sum of three thousand pounds (£3,000) of its Depreciation Reserve Fund in the debentures of the Taranaki Hospital Board, and seventeen thousand three hundred pounds (£17,300) of its Depreciation Reserve Fund in the debentures of the Tauranga Electric Power Board.

Foreshore Licence — Takatu Peninsula — Matakana — Constructing Ramp and Beaching Vessel

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits Julian Logan Limited, of Auckland (hereinafter called the company, which term shall include its successors and assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Takatu Peninsula, Matakana Harbour, as shown on plans marked M.D. 9871 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a ramp thereon and of beaching and maintaining thereon a vessel to be used as a hopper for gravel as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Order in Council dated the 4th day of August 1954 and published in the Gazette of the 12th day of August 1954 at page 1296, licensing the company to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Takatu Peninsula as a site for a line of piles and breastwork.

Varying a Condition as to Setting Back the Building Line of Portion of a Street in the Borough of Otahuhu, Imposed by Order in Council, Under Section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928

At the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of June 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 27 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 17th day of April 1946, published in Gazette, 17 April 1946, Vol. I, page 484, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 11817, authorizing the laying off of the street described in the Schedule of the said Order in Council subject to a condition as to the building line, by varying the condition with regard to the building line imposed by the said Order in Council so that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 1, 2, 3, and part Lot 4, D.P. 41594, within a distance of 35 ft. from the centre line of the said street.

Declaring an Access Way to be Vested in the Corporation of the City of Hamilton and to be Under the Control and Management of the Hamilton City Council

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Housing Amendment Act 1940, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access way described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Hamilton, and be under the control and management of the Hamilton City Council.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the access way dealt with: 10·4 perches. Being Lot 77, D.P. S. 920, being part Allotment 35, Parish of Pukete, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1031, folio 1, Auckland Land Registry.

Situated in the City of Hamilton.
