Declaring Lands in Westland and Otago Land Districts Vested
in the Canterbury and Otago Education Boards as Sites
for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said
Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained
in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to
time by Proclamation declare that any school site or part
of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required
for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and there-
upon the school site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall
vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every
educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases,
encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the
date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5
of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby
Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the First
Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury
Education Board, and the lands described in the Second
Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Otago Educa-
tion Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her
Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educa-
tional trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases,
encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the
date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 1361 (formerly Section 21), situated in Block II,
Ahaura Survey District: Area, 2 roods 24 perches, more or less.

SECOND SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 57, Block VII, Woodland Survey District: Area,
1 acre 3 roods, more or less. (S.O. Plan 8818.)

Section 10, Block I, Cardrona Survey District: Area, 2 acres
and 10 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 20,
flio 198.
Also Section 1147R, Block I, Cardrona Survey District:
Area, 1 rood 11 perches, more or less.
Also Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block X, and Sections 1, 2, 3,
and 4, Block XI, Town of Cardrona: Total area, 2 acres,

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,

Survey District, Tauranga County, to be Road

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare
the land described in the Schedule hereto, and comprised in a
roadway laid out by the Maori Land Court by an order dated
the 9th day of October 1915, to be road.

particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 146916
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 27th day of June 1955.

Crown Land Set Apart for Sand-dune Reclamation in Block X,
Okaka Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for sand-dune reclamation; and I also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 4th day of
July 1955.
