Members’ Voluntary Winding-up

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of Miranda Shell Lime Company Limited (in voluntary liquidation).

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that on the 9th day of June 1955, Miranda Shell Lime Company Limited passed the following special resolutions:

“‘(1) That the company be wound up voluntarily.

“‘(2) That Colin Reginald Howard, A.R.A.N.Z., be appointed liquidator.’’

All persons having claims against the company are notified to lodge proof thereof with the liquidator on or before the 19th day of July 1955.

MOUNT MAUNGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Tauran Water Supply Development Loan 1954, £120,000 (First Issue of £120,000)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Mount Maunganui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“‘That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and by all other Acts and powers thereunto enabling it, the Mount Maunganui Borough Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Tauran Water Supply Development Loan 1954, £120,000, authorized under the above-mentioned powers, the said Mount Maunganui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and three-eighth pence (1¾d.) in the pound (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Maunganui; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Mount Maunganui Borough Council on the 22nd day of March 1955.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Woodville Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 15th day of June 1955, has resolved to prepare for the Woodville Borough district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Te Aro Flat Redevelopment Loan 1954, of £100,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 15th day of June 1955, viz:

“‘In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) to be known as the Wellington City Te Aro Flat Redevelopment Loan 1954 of £100,000 authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and buildings in the Te Aro Flat Reclamation Area, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-nine eight-hundredths of a penny (49/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’
