Dedication of Road Reserve as a Road

Hauraki Plains Drainage District—Notice of Intention to Make and Levy General Rates

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Hauraki Plains Act 1926, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1955 to 31 March 1956, as described in the Schedule hereto.

The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on 29 July 1955.

The valuation roll of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Room 8, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the Land Drainage Office of the Ministry of Works at Paeroa, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

SCHEDULE

Class A.—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the appraiser appointed under the said Act, eight-pence and fifty-eight one-hundredths of a penny (8·58d.) in the pound.

Class B.—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, fourpence and nine-tenths of a penny (4·9d.) in the pound.

Class C.—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, one penny and twenty-three one-hundredths of a penny (1·23d.) in the pound.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve and Declaring Same to Form Part of Tamaterau Domain

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for an esplanade to a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, declares the said reserve to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of the said Act, to form part of the Tamaterau Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.
