FIRST SCHEDULE
THE New Plymouth City Council being the local authority
having control of the streets in the City of New Plymouth by
resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the
Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the northern side
of the portion of Currie Lane adjoining Sections 905A and
parts 905 and 906, D.P. 2772, Town of New Plymouth, being
all of the land in certificate of title, Volume 67, folio 220,
Taranaki Registry."
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE northern side of all that portion of street situated in the
Taranaki Land District, City of New Plymouth, known as
Currie Lane, fronting Section 905A and part Section 906,
Town of New Plymouth. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 146732 deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

of Palmerston North Exempted from the Provisions of
Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of
June 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
approves of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North
City Council on the 27th day of April 1955 and set out in the
First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and
portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Palmerston North City Council being the Local Authority
having control of the streets in the City of Palmerston North
by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of
the Public Works Act shall not apply to the north-western
side of Main Street fronting a subdivision of Lot 2, D.P.
14080, being part Section 167, Township of Palmerston North,
Block XI, Kairanga Survey District, comprised in certificates
of title, 217/253 and 131/297."
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE north-western side of all that portion of street in the
Wellington Land District, City of Palmerston North, known
as Main Street, fronting Lot 2, D.P. 14080, being part Lot 1,
D.P. 593, and being part Section 167, Town of Palmerston
North. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 146772 deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring an Access Way to be Vested in the Corporation of
the Borough of Putaruru and to be Under the Control and
Management of the Putaruru Borough Council

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 6 of the Housing Amendment Act
1940, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
orders and declares that the access way described in the
Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in
Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
Borough of Putaruru, and be under the control and manage-
ment of the Putaruru Borough Council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the access way dealt with: 4.4 perches.
Being Lot 48, D.P. S. 2014, being part Section 97, Block VI,
Patetere North Survey District, and being part of the land
comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1001,
folio 146, Auckland Land Registry.

Validating Proceedings in Connection With the Kawhia County
Council's Loan of Β£10,000

At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of
June 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Kawhia County Council lately proceeded by
way of Special Order to raise a loan of ten thousand
pounds to be known as "Bridge Renewal Loan 1954" (herein-
after called the said loan):
And whereas the proceedings in connection with the said
loan were irregular or defective in that, although two notifica-
tions in respect of the raising of the said loan, as required
by paragraph (c) of section 99 of the Counties Act 1920,
were given during the period of twenty-eight days immediately
preceding the date of the subsequent meeting confirming the
resolution to raise the said loan, there was an interval of less
than fourteen days between the two notifications:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the district
have not been misled by such irregularity or defect as aforesaid
and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 122 of the Local Bodies'
Loans Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby orders and declares that the proceedings in connection
with the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as
though the said public notifications had been correctly given,
and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the
said loan, or of the security for the said loan, shall not be
called in question by reason only of the irregularity or defect
aforesaid.

of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
