Altering the Boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei and Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Districts

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District so as to include therein the areas described in the First Schedule hereto; and, further, pursuant to the said Act, I hereby alter the boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei and Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Districts by excluding the areas described in the Second Schedule hereto from the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power District and including such areas in the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District, and I hereby declare that the altered boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei and Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Districts shall be those described in the Third and Fourth Schedules hereto respectively.
FIRST SCHEDULE
(a) ALL that area in the Wellington Land District comprising portion of Wanganui County situated in Blocks VI, VII, X, and XI, Ngamatea Survey District, and bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Auraki Stream and the Mangawhero River, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction along the middle of the said Auraki Stream to a point opposite the south-western boundary line of Lot 1 on Plan 4978, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, being part of Ohotu Subdivision 4B No. 2; thence along the south-western and northern boundaries of the said Lot 1 and the northern boundary of Lot 2 on plan 4978 aforesaid to the western boundary of Ohotu Subdivision 6B; thence again towards the north-east generally by the north-eastern boundary of the said Ohotu 6B, the western and northern boundaries of Ohotu Subdivision 6A No. 1B, and the Taokaramu Stream, to the middle of Field’s Track; thence by the middle of Field’s Track to its intersection by the Tangitatau Stream; thence along the middle of the said Tangitatau Stream to the middle of the Mangawhero River; thence by the middle of the said Mangawhero River to its confluence with the Auraki Stream, the place of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 332 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
(b) All that area in the Wellington Land District comprising portion of Rangitikei County bounded by a line commencing at a point being Trig. 28 (Manukaiapu), Block VI, Kaimanawa Survey District, being also a point on the boundary of Rangitikei County described in New Zealand Gazette 1953, page 536; thence proceeding southerly and easterly by a right line to Trig. 24 (Te Rotete), a right line to Trig. C (Auahitotara), a right line to Trig. A (Totem), and a right line in the direction of Trig. Tunutara to the western side of the Waiouru-Turangi State Highway, being also the boundary of Rangitikei County described as aforesaid; thence northerly and easterly along the said County boundary to Trig. 28 (Manukaiapu), the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 333 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
(a) ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point being the south-western corner of Section 14, Block XII, Hautapu Survey District; thence proceeding westerly and southerly generally along the southern boundary of Block XI, Hautapu Survey District, and along Cross Road to the south-eastern boundary of Section 39A, Block XV, Hautapu Survey District; thence north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary to Mangawharariki Road and along a right line to the south-western corner of Section 14 aforesaid, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 334 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
(b) All that area in the Wellington Land District, being portion of the County of Kiwitea, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Pourangaki River opposite the south-eastern boundary of Section 14, Block IX, Ruahine Survey District; thence proceeding south-easterly up the middle of that river to a point opposite the eastern boundary of Block XIII, Ruahine Survey District; thence north-easterly by a right line to Trig. Station I (Ruahemi); thence north-westerly by a right line to a point in the middle of Hikurangi Stream opposite the eastern boundary of Section 20, Block IX, Ruahine Survey District; thence down the middle of that stream to a point opposite the south-eastern boundary of Section 13, Block IX aforesaid; thence south-westerly to and along the said south-eastern boundary, across Mangakokeke Road, the south-eastern boundary of Section 14 aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 335 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
THIRD SCHEDULE
WANGANUI-RANGITIKEI ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Taranaki, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington Land Districts, comprising the Counties of Rangitikei and Wanganui, parts of the Counties of Waitotara, Waimarino, Kiwitea, and Patea, the City of Wanganui, the Boroughs of Marton and Taihape, and the Town Districts of Hunterville, Bulls, Mangaweka, and Waverley, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in the middle of the
