Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Special Loan
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Palmerston North taken on 25 May 1955, in connection with a proposal to raise a loan of £22,300 to enable the Council to carry out extensions and alterations to the Municipal Baths, the voting was as follows:

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan—Brixton Water Supply District Loan of 1955 of £8,000
I HEREBY give notice, pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, that at a poll of ratepayers of the Brixton Water Supply District, taken on the 14th day of May 1955 on the proposal to borrow the sum of eight thousand pounds (£8,000) to provide a water supply for the Brixton Water Supply District:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 47.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 25.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Manufacture of Paua (Haliotis Iris) Shell for Sale
A. W. Burge, P.O. Box 86, Spring Creek, Marlborough, has applied for a licence to manufacture paua shell for sale.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application should, not later than 23 June 1955, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
