The Social Security Charge (Companies) Payment Order 1955

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of June 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Social Security Act 1938, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Social Security Charge (Companies) Payment Order 1955.

  2. This order applies to the charge payable by every company on its chargeable income for the income year that ended with the 31st day of March 1955:

Provided that clause 3 of this order does not apply to any charge to which regulation 11 (3) of the Social Security Charge Regulations 1953* applies (being charge payable by a company in liquidation on the date of the commencement of the liquidation).

  1. The charge shall be due and payable in one sum on the 6th day of February 1956.

  2. The charge shall be payable at any office of the Taxes Division, Inland Revenue Department, or at any money order post office.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes an Order in Council made on 16 September 1942 and published in the Gazette, 24 September 1942, Vol. III, page 2410, setting apart the Tangirau 2b 2e Block as a Maori reservation.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of June 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the Ngati-rehia hapu and the members of the Waikato Tribes as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting place.

Revoking an Order in Council Prohibiting All Alienations of Certain Maori Land Other Than Alienations in Favour of the Crown

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 254 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes an Order in Council made on 1 May 1933 and published in the Gazette, 4 May 1933, Vol. II, page 1233, prohibiting all alienations of the Maori land known as Matamat North Block No. 2L (part), other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Declaring the Alfredton Farm Settlement Road in the Ekatahuna County to be County Road

At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of June 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Ekatahuna County, containing an area of 1 acre and 36.5 perches, commencing at a point on the Tiraumea Valley Road and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally for a distance of 15 chains 70 links, more or less, through Sections 158 and 160, Rangitumau Block, Block IX Puketoi Survey District, to the north-western boundary of Section 4, Block X, Puketoi Survey District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 146188 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The Northern Side of Portion of Henry Street in the City of Dunedin Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of Public Works Act 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of June 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the 21st day of March 1955, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

The Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the northern side of the portion of Henry Street adjoining Lot 22, Deeds Plan 37, Township of Williamstown, being parts of Sections 13 and 14, Block I, Upper Kaikorai District, being all of the land in certificate of title, Volume 260, folio 21, Otago Land Registry.

SECOND SCHEDULE

The northern side of all that portion of Henry Street situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, fronting subdivision of Lot 22, Deeds Plan 37, Township of Williamstown, being parts Sections 13 and 14, Block I, Upper Kaikorai District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 146693 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
