Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Borough of Rotorua (Notice No. Ag. 5831)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Rotorua Borough Council on the 2nd day of May 1955.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT in exercise of the authority vested in the Council by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Council of the Borough of Rotorua hereby resolves that the following weeds be declared noxious weeds for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950:

Barberry (Berberis vulgaris).
Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Californian thistle (Cirsium arvense).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Lupin (Lupinus arboreus).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum).
Saffron thistle (Carthamus lanatus).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes).

Auckland Transport District—Time and Place for Hearing Appeals Against Alteration of Boundaries

PURSUANT to section 34 of the Local Government Commission Act 1953, it is hereby notified that the Local Government Appeal Authority has fixed 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday, the 13th day of July 1955, as the time, and the Board-room of the Auckland Transport Board, Customs Street, Auckland, as the place for the hearing of appeals which have been made against the Final Reorganization Scheme of the Local Government Commission dated the 7th day of February 1955, providing for the alteration of the boundaries of the Auckland Transport District.

Dated at Wellington this 31st day of May 1955.
