Revoking the Reservation Over Reserves in the North Auckland Land District


PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation for reserves for recreation purposes over the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

Lot 13, Deposited Plan No. 31957, being part of Allotment North 58 of Section 1, Small lots near Panmure, situated in Block II, Otahuhu Survey District: Area, 1 rood 39 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 801, folio 2.

Also Lot 8, Deposited Plan No. 17794, being part of Allotment South 58 of Section 1, Small lots near Panmure, situated in Block II, Otahuhu Survey District: Area, 1 rood 8·2 perches, more or less. Parts certificates of title, Volume 61, folio 71, and Volume 323, folio 90.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Heavy Motor Vehicles, Being Goods Service Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1936


PURSUANT to clause (22), regulation 7, of the Traffic Regulations 1936,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulation, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

‘‘SCOTCHLITE’’ wide angle flat top red reflector tape (otherwise known as ‘‘Micro-lens’’) 1 in. wide and a minimum of 5 in. in length.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940


PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940


PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Revoking a Warrant Declaring an Area to be a Closely Populated Locality, and Declaring an Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36


PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes that Warrant dated the 28th day of November 1947* which refers to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.


SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hutt County—

All that area in the Settlements of Paraparaumu Beach, Raumati Beach, and Raumati South bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-eastern side of the Paraparaumu Beach Main Highway No. 512, 3 chains in a south-easterly direction from the south-eastern side of Hurley Road; thence proceeding due north-east along a right line to the left bank of the Waikanae River; thence down the left bank of the Waikanae River to the sea coast; thence southerly along the sea coast to the right bank of the Whareroa Stream; thence up the said bank of the Whareroa Stream to a point due south of the intersection of the northern side of Poplar Avenue with the eastern side of Matai Road; thence due north along a right line to the said intersection; thence northerly generally along the eastern side of Matai Road to its intersection with the southern side of Raumati Road; thence northerly along a right line to the commencing point; the whole area being further indicated in pink on the plan marked T.T. 1769 and deposited in the office of the Transport Department at Wellington.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land Subject to a Building Line Restriction


PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto, subject to building line restriction K. 1310, Canterbury Land Registry, to be deemed to have been Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948, subject to the aforesaid restriction, as from the 29th day of April 1955.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared Crown land: 2 acres 1 rood 6·9 perches.

Being Lot 2, D.P. 14804, being part Rural Section 1, situated in the Borough of Lyttelton, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 494, folio 184, Canterbury Land Registry.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land, Subject to Certain Interests


PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was taken subject to the interests reserved by Memorandum of Transfer No. 14739, Auckland Land Registry, to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948, subject to the aforesaid interests, as from the 7th day of June 1955.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared Crown land: 1 rood 32·3 perches.

Being Lots 5 and 6, D.P. S. 2852, being part Allotment 9, Parish of Pepepe, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 67, folio 21, Auckland Land Registry.
