At the Government House at Wellington this 25th day of
May 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations
Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes
the Hamilton City Council to permit the laying off of the
proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width
for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than
40 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a
building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged
green on the plan referred to in the said Schedule within a
distance of 35 ft. from the centre line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
That proposed street in the South Auckland Land District,
City of Hamilton, containing by admeasurement 32 perches,
more or less, being part Lot 1, D.P. 11662, and part Lot 4,
D.P. 11279, being part Allotment 219, Kirikiriroa Parish.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 146630 deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions,
transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New

Captain B. W. Roberts, M.M., 3rd Company, R.N.Z.A.S.C., is
appointed B.R.A.S.C.O., H.Q., 3rd Infantry Brigade, and is
seconded. Dated 15 May 1955.

Major H. M. McDonald, from the Reserve of Officers,
General List, The Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps, is granted a
short-service commission for a period of eighteen months as
from 29 April 1955 in the rank of Captain, with seniority
from 1 March 1954, is granted the temporary rank of
Major, and is seconded to the Fiji Military Forces for services in Malaya. Dated 29 April 1955.

2nd Lieutenant R. E. Harvison, 1st Battalion, to be Lieutenant. Dated 2 May 1955.
Ian Leslie Duder to be 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) and is

The Hauraki Regiment
Captain (temp. Major) E. F. T. Beer, 1st Battalion, is
transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, the Royal
N.Z. Infantry Corps, with the rank of Major. Dated 16 April

The Canterbury Regiment
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) T. W. Lawson, 1st Battalion,
relinquishes the temp. rank of Captain, and is transferred to
the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, The Canterbury
Regiment, with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 10
September 1947. Dated 17 April 1955.
