Alterations to the Scales of Charges Upon the New Zealand Government Railways
PURSUANT to the Government Railways Act 1949, the New Zealand Railways Commission hereby makes the following alterations to the General Scale of Charges made on the 26th day of March 1952, and published in the Supplement dated the 9th day of April 1952 to the New Zealand Gazette of the 3rd day of April 1952, in force on the New Zealand Government Railways.
GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES
The following alterations to the General Scale of Charges shall come into force on 29 May 1955.
PASSENGERS
4. Trip Bearer Tickets
Paragraphs 1 and 4: Omit these paragraphs, and substitute the following:

Except where provided in regulations 34 and 35, trip bearer tickets, first or second class, will be issued at the charge for six return fares, ordinary, suburban, or local, as may be appropriate, less 10 per cent, and will be available for twelve single journeys.

Change of Class.—Passengers holding second class trip bearer tickets and who desire to travel first class will be charged the difference between the first and second class single fare, ordinary, suburban, or local, as the case may be.

32. Suburban Fares
Paragraph 1: Omit from the first sentence the words “Auckland, Newmarket, Mount Eden”.
Paragraph 1, subparagraph (a): Omit this subparagraph.
Suburban Six-trip Bearer Tickets.—9. Add to list of stations between which suburban six-trip bearer tickets will be issued:
