LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and in the matter of the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act 1927.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling to execute a public work, to wit, the extension of a street known as Riverside Drive, within the City of Lower Hutt, and for the purpose of such public work the Council requires to take the land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto in connection with such street extension; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said piece of land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Council, situate at the corner of Laings Road and High Street, in the City of Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said piece of land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said piece of land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices situated as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE

LAND required to be taken in connection with street extension: All that piece of land situate in the City of Lower Hutt containing three acres two roods (3 acres 2 roods), be the same a little more or less, being subdivision Number 6B of Section 36 of the Hutt District, and being all the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 83, folio 150, Wellington Registry.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Dinsdale Water Supply Special Area Loan 1954, £3,100

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,100 authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply special rating area, the said County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence and one-eighth of a penny (3¼d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Dinsdale Water Supply Special Rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be repayable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Waipa County Council held on the 21st day of March 1955.
