HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Kaitoke Public Hall Loan 1955, £600

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £600 authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing and reconstructing buildings for a Public Hall at Kaitoke, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and a halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Kaitoke Special Rating Area No. 63, comprising all that area of land situated in Blocks XI, XII, XV, and XVI, Akatarawa Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block XV aforesaid on the northern side of the Masterton-Wellington State Highway, in line with the north-eastern boundary of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 352, folio 157, Wellington Registry, and being part Section 419, Hutt District; thence easterly generally along the northern side of that highway to the western corner of part Section 1, Pakuratahi District; thence north-easterly generally along the north-western boundaries of that part Section 1 aforesaid, the north-western and northern boundaries of Section 2, and the northern boundary of Section 3, both of Pakuratahi District, to the right bank of Mangaroa Creek; thence northerly generally down the right bank of that creek to the left bank of the Pakuratahi River; thence north-easterly across that river to its right bank; thence easterly generally up that right bank to the south-eastern boundary of Section 30, Pakuratahi District, and along that boundary to the easternmost corner of that section, along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, as shown on the plan numbered 8944 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, and along the north-eastern boundary of that lot to its easternmost corner; thence southerly generally along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 12827, deposited as aforesaid, across a public road, and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2 as shown on the plan numbered 12827 aforesaid, along the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Section 35, Pakuratahi District, and along the eastern boundaries of Sections 17 and 18, Pakuratahi District, to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 18; thence westerly along the southern boundary of that section to the Masterton-Wellington State Highway; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of that highway to the north-western corner of Section 22, Pakuratahi District; thence easterly, southerly, and westerly along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of that section, across the Masterton-Wellington State Highway, and again westerly along the northern boundaries of Sections 28 and 20, Pakuratahi District, to the south-eastern boundary of Section 6, Pakuratahi District; thence south-westerly and westerly along the south-eastern and southern boundaries of that section to the Wellington-Napier Railway; thence northerly generally along the eastern side of that railway to the western boundary of Section 4, Pakuratahi District, and along that boundary to the southern boundary of Section 2, Pakuratahi District; thence westerly along that boundary and the southern boundary of Section 1, Pakuratahi District, to the south-eastern side of the Masterton-Wellington State Highway; thence south-westerly along that side of the said highway, to and across the Wellington-Napier Railway, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 29, Pakuratahi District, and Section 419, Hutt District, crossing the Wellington-Napier Railway to the eastern corner of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 352, folio 157, Wellington Registry; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of that land and its production across the Masterton-Wellington State Highway to a point on its northern side, being the point of commencement; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Hutt County Council held on 28 April 1955.

Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of Moffett and Company Limited duly convened and held in Wellington on Friday, 29 April 1955, the following special resolution was passed:

“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.

“2. That Mr James Keith McLeod be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.

“2. That Mr James Keith McLeod be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

THE WANGANUI-RANGITIKEI ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and of all other powers (if any) it therewith enabling, the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and repayment charges and all other expenses on the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board’s Reticulation Extension Loan 1954, of £120,000, to be raised pursuant to the above-mentioned authority, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighteenth part of one penny (1/18d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property in the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the aforesaid loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
