Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street Off Shirley Road in the Borough of Papatoetoe, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Papatoetoe Borough Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for the whole of its length of less than 60 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 3, 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 of a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 145794, referred to in the Schedule hereto, within a distance of 50 ft. from the centre line of the said street, and subject further to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lot 17 of a subdivision of the said land shown edged green on the said plan marked P.W.D. 145794, referred to in the Schedule hereto, within a distance of 40 ft. from the centre line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Papatoetoe, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 34 perches, more or less, being part Lot 3, D.P. 13856, and part Lot 3, D.P. 36782, being part Allotment 36, Parish of Manurewa.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145794 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the 30th day of March 1955, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the sides and portions of streets described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Auckland City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the southern portion of Randolph Street fronting part Allotment 5, Deposited Plan 1754, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland, and the western portion of France Street fronting part Allotment 5, Deposited Plan 1754, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland, comprised in certificates of title, Volume 84, folio 279, Volume 592, folio 307, and Volume 592, folio 308, Auckland Registry.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE southern side of portion of street in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Randolph Street, fronting Lots 8, 10, 12, and 14 of the subdivision of Allotment 5, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland.
Also the western side of portion of street in the said land district and city known as France Street, fronting Lot 8 of the subdivision of Allotment 5, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland, and other portion of Allotment 5, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145932 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Commander A. B. Gilfillan, V.R.D., granted acting rank of Captain whilst holding present appointment of Royal New Zealand Naval Liaison Officer, London, to date 13 September 1954.
Commander C. C. Stevens promoted to rank of Captain and reappointed, to date 31 December 1954.
Lieutenant-Commander J. P. Tulloch promoted to rank of Commander and reappointed, to date 31 December 1954.
Lieutenant-Commander (S) A. C. Lambert appointed H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, additional, for release, to date 22 October 1954. Short-service commission terminated (at own request).
Lieutenant N. P. Trent promoted to rank of Lieutenant-Commander and reappointed, to date 1 October 1954.
Lieutenant J. W. H. F. Dickie promoted to rank of Lieutenant-Commander and reappointed, to date 18 November 1954.
Lieutenant A. B. Wilkinson, service on the Active List of the Royal New Zealand Navy extended one year from 30 November 1954.
Acting Lieutenant K. C. II. Cadman confirmed in rank of Lieutenant to date 10 November 1954, with original seniority of 15 October 1951.
Acting Lieutenant C. J. Steward confirmed in rank of Lieutenant to date 10 November 1954, with original seniority of 1 August 1954.
Instructor Lieutenant J. C. L. Davies, B.A., short-service commission extended for one year from 25 January 1955.
Acting Instructor Lieutenant D. W. O'Brien, resignation of short-service commission accepted. Released 14 January 1955.
Surgeon Lieutenant J. D. Read, M.B., Ch.B., granted ante-date of seniority to 9 August 1947.
