Cancelling the Vesting and Revoking the Reservation Over
Reserves in Canterbury Land District

P
URSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the
Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of
Ashburton of the lands described in the First and Second
Schedules hereto, and hereby revokes the reservation for
plantation purposes over the lands described in the First
Schedule hereto, and hereby revokes the reservation for
cemetery purposes over the land described in the Second
Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

RESERVE 298X, situated in the Borough of Ashburton: Area,
3 roods 34 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 1954.)
Reserve 3232, situated in the Borough of Ashburton: Area,
1 acre and 6 perches, more or less. (Black Map 311.)

SECOND SCHEDULE

Part Reserve 298, situated in the Borough of Ashburton:
Area, 1 acre 1 rood 18·5 perches, more or less, and bounded
as follows: Commencing at the easternmost corner of Reserve
298X, thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary
of Reserve 298X, 545·94 links, thence north-easterly by a
right line bearing 49° 03', 251·09 links, to the south-western
side of Kermode Street, thence south-easterly along the south-
western side of that street, 542·21 links, and south-westerly
along the north-western side of Chalmers Avenue, 251·86
links, to the point of commencement.

reserve for the purpose of a common for the use of the
inhabitants of the town of Queenstown, described in the
