Inspector of Gear Appointed
Pursuant to section 241 (1) of the Harbours Act 1950,
the Minister of Marine hereby appoints
Robert Bown
to be an Inspector of Gear having the powers conferred on an
Inspector of Gear by the General Harbour (Safe Working
Load) Regulations 1935, and the powers conferred on a
Surveyor of Ships by those regulations and by the General
Harbour Regulations 1954, except in respect of any lifting
machinery or hoist or other cargo handling machine or winch.

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
appoint
Bruce McLeod
to be a member of the Wellington Harbour Board as a representative
of the electors of the combined district of the City
of Palmerston North and the Counties of Manawatu, Oroua,
Horowhenua, Pohangina, Kairanga, and Kiwitea, and the
Boroughs of Feilding, Foxton, Shannon, Otaki, and Levin, in
place of Joseph Hodgens, deceased.

Land Reserved in the Land District of Wellington and Vested
in the Palmerston North City Council
Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands

as a reserve for recreation, and further, pursuant to the Reserves

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve for Public Buildings of
the General Government in South Auckland Land District
to Recreation Purposes and Adding the Reserve to Kihikihi
Domain
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve
described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for public
buildings of the General Government to a reserve for
recreation purposes, and further, declares the said reserve
to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of the said
Act, to form part of the Kihikihi Domain to be administered
as a public domain by the Domain Board.
