THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in
Council dated the 13th day of July 1938 and published in the
New Zealand Gazette on the 14th day of the same month at
page 1646, authorizing George Bruce Nichol, of Clarks,
Outram, Farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating
electricity.

Representation on the Tararua Electric Power Board

May 1955
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
revokes the Order in Council dated the 14th day of April
1938 and published in the Gazette on the 21st day of the same
month, at page 989, reapportioning representation on the
Tararua Electric Power Board and in lieu thereof hereby
determines as follows:
-
The number of representatives of each constituent district
of the Tararua Electric Power District on the said Board
shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite
the name of that constituent district. -
The constituent districts which are bracketed together in
the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be a combined
district for the purposes of the said Act. -
The local authority of the constituent district distin-
guished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the
letter βPβ shall be the principal local authority of such
combined district. -
The first election of the representatives of the said com-
bined district shall be held on the date of the next general
local body elections.

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Taupo County Act 1954,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
divides the County of Taupo into seven ridings, to be known
as Pouakani, Tatua, Tauhara, Kaingaroa, Tarawera, Rangi-
toto, and Tongariro Ridings, which said ridings are described
under their respective headings in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
POUAKANI RIDING
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point on the northern shores of
Lake Taupo, in Block XIV, Marotiri Survey District, being
the southernmost corner of Tihoi No. 1 Block, and running
generally northerly and then easterly along the western and
northern boundaries of the County of Taupo as described in
New Zealand Gazette No. 15, of the 16th day of March 1950,
page 277, to a point in the middle of the Waikato River, in
Block IX, Te Atiamuri Survey District, in line with the
western boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 21101, being part Tatua
West Block; thence southerly generally along a right line to
and along that boundary, and along another right line across
a public road to and along the western boundaries of Lot 1
on D.P. 22337, part Lot 7 on D.P. 21101, Lot 8 on D.P. 21102,
a right line across a public road to and along the western
boundaries of Lots 13, 14, and 15 on D.P. 21102 aforesaid,
the said Lots all being parts of Tatua West Block, and along
the western boundaries of Lot 3 on D.P. 29531, and Lot 2 on
D.P. 21103, and D.P. 21104, both being parts of Whangamata
No. 1 Block, to the northern shores of Lake Taupo; thence
westerly along those shores to the point of commencement.
TATUA RIDING
All that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waikato
River, in Block IX, Te Atiamuri Survey District, in line with
the western boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 21101, being part
Tatua West Block, and running generally easterly, southerly,
and then westerly up the middle of the said river to a point
in Block XIV, Tatua Survey District, in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Section 13, Block X, Tatua Survey Dis-
trict; thence along a right line to and along that boundary,
along a right line across a public road to and along the
north-eastern boundary of Section 9 of the said Block X, and
along another right line being that last-mentioned boundary
produced to the middle of a public road; thence southerly
along the middle of that road to a point in line with the
north-western boundary of Section 2 of Block X aforesaid;
thence south-westerly along a right line to and along that
north-western boundary, and along another right line being
that boundary produced to the middle of another public road;
thence again southerly along the middle of that road to a
point in line with the north-western boundary of part Wai-
rakei Block, shown on D.P. 25307, and along a right line to
and along that north-western boundary and the western boun-
daries of Oruamuturangi Block and Rangatira No. 2 Block,
the western and south-western boundaries of part Rangatira
No. 8A Block, and the south-western boundary of Rangatira
No. 8A 12B Block, to a public road; thence westerly generally
along the western side of that road to and along the north-
western boundary of Section 5 of Block IV, Tuhingamata
East Survey District, the abutment of a public road, the north-
western and south-western boundaries of part Section 6 of the
said Block IV, the northern boundaries of part Rangatira
No. 1 and Rangatira No. 8B 2 Blocks, the north-western
boundary of Rangatira No. 8B 1 Block and the north-eastern
boundaries of parts of Rangatira and Whakaipo Blocks, to
the northern shores of Lake Taupo; thence north-westerly
generally along those shores to the south-eastern corner of
Tihoi No. 3B 1 Block in Block XVI, Marotiri Survey District;
thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the Pouakani
Riding as hereinbefore described, to the point of commence-
ment.
TAUHARA RIDING
All that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at the confluence of the Waikato River
and the Parariki Stream in Block XII, Tatua Survey District,
and running southerly generally up the middle of the said
Parariki Stream, to and along the south-western boundary
of Lot 2 on D.P. 29248, to and along the north-western boun-
dary of Lot 1 on that plan, both lots being parts of Kaingaroa
No. 2 West No. 1 Block, along a right line across a public
road to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 4 on
D.P. 29248 aforesaid, being parts of the said Kaingaroa
No. 2 West No. 1 Block, and of Kaingaroa No. 2 West No. 2
Block, and along the north-western boundary of Lot 28 on
D.P. 29249, being part of the said Kaingaroa No. 2 West
No. 2 Block, to the westernmost corner of that lot; thence
north-westerly and then again southerly generally along the
north-eastern, north-western, and western boundaries of part
Tauhara Middle No. 4A 2 Block crossing the intervening State
Highway, and along the north-western boundary of Tauhara
Middle No. 4 Block, and a right line being the production of
that last mentioned boundary to the middle of the Waitahanui
Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to the north-
eastern boundary of Tauhara South A Block; thence westerly
generally along that north-eastern boundary and the north-
eastern boundary of part Tauhara South B Block, crossing
the intervening stream and State Highway, to the shores of
Lake Taupo, thence northerly and then westerly along the
eastern and northern shores of Lake Taupo to the western-
most corner of Whakaipo No. 1 Block in Block IV, Tuhinga-
mata East Survey District; thence north-easterly generally
along the south-eastern boundary of the Tatua Riding as
hereinbefore described to the point of commencement, but
excepting thereout the Borough of Taupo as described in
New Zealand Gazette No. 51, of the 10th day of September
1953, page 1476.
KAINGAROA RIDING
All that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at the confluence of the Waikato River
and the Paetatararnoa Stream in Block IX, Takapau Survey
District, and running generally easterly and southerly along
the boundary of the County of Taupo as described in New
Zealand Gazette No. 15, of the 16th day of March 1950, page
277, to Trig. Station B (Pukeroa), on the south-eastern boun-
dary of Section 1 of Block XI, Heruiwi Survey District;
thence along that boundary, and a right line being that
boundary produced to the middle of the public road forming
the south-western boundary of the said Section 1; thence
along the middle of that road to a point in line with the
south-eastern boundary of Lot 14 on D.P. 21390, being part
