NEW ZEALAND—NORTH ISLAND—WETTI RIVER

Existence of Electric Power Cable

AN electric power cable has been laid between latitude 36° 38′ 39″ S., longitude 174° 43′ 37″ E., and latitude 36° 38′ 30″ S., longitude 174° 43′ 42″ E. (approx.) in the entrance to Wetti River. The shore ends of this cable are marked by white lights illuminating a notice board. Anchorage is prohibited within 200 ft. on each side of this cable.

Notice to Mariners No. 25 of 1955

NEW ZEALAND—SOUTH ISLAND—OAMARU HARBOUR

Leading Lines Established

POSITION (a): Flashing light on seaward end of breakwater in 45° 06′ 25″ S., 170° 58′ 43″ E. (approx.).

(1) A fixed green light has been established 294½° 4·7 cables from (a) above. The symbol for a light is to be placed in this position with the legend “F.G. 3m. (Occasl.)” appended.

(2) The symbol for a leading line is to be drawn in an 080° direction from the fixed green light and the legend “Green light bearing 260°” is to be appended below the leading line.

(3) The symbol for a leading line is to be drawn in an 082° direction from the church in position 292° 5·6 cables from (a) above and the legend “Church spire bearing 262°” is to be appended above the leading line.

NEW ZEALAND—SOUTH ISLAND—TARAKOHE

Tarakohe Wharf Light

THE light on the end of Tarakohe wharf in 40° 49′ 00″ S., 179° 54′ 30″ E. (approx.), now shows red, flashing once every five seconds. The height of the light is 41′ 6″ above maximum high-water spring tide.

Boundaries of City of Wellington and County of Makara and Makara Riding of County of Makara Redefined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto the boundaries of the City of Wellington, the County of Makara, and the Makara Riding of the County of Makara, the previous boundaries having been altered by Order in Council dated the 11th day of January 1955, and published in Gazette, 13 January 1955, No. 1, page 6.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF CITY OF WELLINGTON

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the high-water mark of Port Nicholson in line with the boundary-line between Sections 7 and 8, Harbour District; thence to and along the said boundary-line to the western side of Hutt Road; thence northerly generally along the western side of the Hutt Road and the western side of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway as shown on plans S.O. 20493 and S.O. 20494 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, to the intersection of that highway with the eastern side of Fraser Avenue; thence north-easterly along a right line across that highway to its eastern side; thence south-easterly along the said eastern side of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway to its intersection with the northern side of Horokiwi Road; thence southerly along a right line to the intersection of the south-eastern side of Horokiwi Road with the eastern side of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway; thence easterly along the south-eastern side of that road to the southern boundary of the land shown on the plan numbered 10465 and deposited in the District Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence along that southern boundary to the south-eastern corner of that land; thence easterly by a right line to a point on the western side of Wakefield Gully Road bearing 310° 54′ 30″ distant 116·62 links from Peg VI as shown on the plan numbered 3010 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence along the last-mentioned line to the middle of that road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 3 on the plan numbered 14541 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence southerly to and along the south-western boundaries of the said Lot 3 and Lots 4, 5, 6, and 7 on the plan numbered 14541 deposited as aforesaid to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence southerly and easterly along the western and southern boundaries of the land shown on the plan numbered 14541 aforesaid to a point in line with the production of the south-eastern boundary of Lot 19 on the plan numbered 2601 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence easterly to and along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 19, to and across Black Rock Road, and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 17 on the plan numbered 2601 aforesaid to the south-eastern corner of that lot; thence northerly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 17, 16, 15, and 13 on the plan numbered 2601 aforesaid and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the north-eastern side of Black Rock Road; thence along the north-eastern side of Black Rock Road aforesaid to the eastern boundary of Section 10, Porirua District; thence along the said eastern boundary to its intersection with a right line parallel with and 250 links from the northern side of a public road adjoining Lots 29 and 28 on the plan numbered 2205 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence northerly along right lines parallel with and 250 links from the northern side of the said public road and the eastern side of Glanmire Road to the northern boundary of the land shown on the plan numbered 2422 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence westerly along that northern boundary to the eastern boundary of the land shown on the plan numbered 4735 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of the land shown on the plan numbered 4735 aforesaid to its intersection with a line parallel with and 250 links from the eastern side of Horokiwi Road; thence by right lines parallel with and 250 links from the eastern side of Horokiwi Road aforesaid to the southern side of that road; thence westerly generally along a right line bearing 20° 47′ distance 50 links to the middle of Horokiwi Road, and along the middle of that road by right lines bearing 290° 47′ distance 330 links, bearing 237° distance 90 links, and along a line at right angles to the northern side of Horokiwi Road to the eastern boundary of the land shown on the plan numbered 13687 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence westerly generally along the eastern and northern boundaries of the land shown on the plan numbered 13687 aforesaid, to its intersection with a right line parallel with and 250 links from Aurora Road; thence northerly by right lines parallel with and 250 links from the said Aurora Road to the northern boundary of Section 40, Paparangi Settlement; thence westerly along that northern boundary for a distance of 350 links to the eastern side of Aurora Road; thence southerly along the eastern side of the said Aurora Road to its intersection with the production of the north-western boundary of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 13908 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington; thence to and along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 2, the western boundary of Lot 3 on the plan numbered 13908 aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the southern side of Rewarewa Road, being also a point on the southern boundary of Paparangi Settlement; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Paparangi Settlement to its intersection with a right line parallel with and 250 links from Aurora Road; thence northerly and easterly by right lines parallel with and 250 links from the said Aurora Road to its intersection with a line bearing 171° 12′ distance 250 links from the intersection of the production of the western boundary of Lot 8 on the plan numbered 9900 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington with the southern side of Konini Road; thence easterly generally to and along the southern side of the said Konini Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 27, Paparangi Settlement; thence northerly to and along the eastern boundaries of the said Section 27 and eastern and northern boundaries of Section 25, Paparangi Settlement, to the eastern side of Aurora Road; thence along the eastern side of the said Aurora Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 7, Paparangi Settlement; thence to and along that southern boundary and its production to the eastern boundary of Section 8, Paparangi Settlement; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Section 8 to the south-western corner of that Section; thence along a right line due north to the western side of Bassett Road;
