Retailers’ Licences Under the Sales Tax Act 1932–33, Granted, Surrendered, or Revoked

Pursuant to the Sales Tax Act 1932–33, the Comptroller of Customs hereby gives notice that licences to act as manufacturing retailers have been granted to the licensees mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and that the licences to act as manufacturing retailers granted to the licensees mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto have been surrendered or revoked.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan

Pursuant to the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the following notice received by the Minister of Finance from the Chairman of the Bulls Town Council is hereby published.

TOWN DISTRICT OF BULLS

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan

Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Bulls taken on the 17th day of November 1954 on the proposal of the Bulls Town Board to borrow the sum of five thousand five hundred pounds (£5,500) for the purpose of constructing footpaths, kerbing and channelling, and carrying out other street works—

The number of votes for the proposal was 25.

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 69.

I therefore declare that the proposal was lost.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Kaipara Development Scheme)

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 9 June 1930 and published in the Gazette, 19 June 1930, page 1983.

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 30 January 1939 and published in the Gazette, 2 February 1939, page 140.

Charts No. 1423 (Port Nicholson) and No. 803 (Lambton Harbour and Evans Bay) have been permanently withdrawn and will be replaced by a new chart No. 1423.
