CHANGE OF NAME

In the matter of a deed poll executed by Peter Sukniki, of the City of Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Labourer.

KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be registered in the office of the Registrar-General at Wellington) that I, the undersigned Peter Sukniki, of the City of Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Labourer, and now or lately and until the present time called Mustapha Sukniki, do hereby absolutely renounce and abandon the use of my said christian name of “Mustapha”, and in lieu thereof adopt the christian name of “Peter”, and for the purpose of evidencing such change of name I hereby declare that I shall at all times hereafter in all actions, suits, and proceedings, as well as in all dealings and transactions, matters, and things whatsoever, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said christian name of “Peter” as my name in lieu of the said christian name of “Mustapha”, abandoned as aforesaid; and I therefore hereby expressly authorize and require all persons whomsoever at all times to designate, describe, and address me by such adopted name of “Peter”.

In witness whereof I have hereto subscribed my adopted and substituted name of Peter Sukniki this 11th day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-five (1955).

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and the Public Works Act 1928, and the amendments to those Acts, notice is hereby given that the Petone Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, waterworks—by the extension of the streams, water sheds, and catchment areas near the Council reservoir; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Jackson Street, Petone.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate in Block VIII, of the Belmont Survey District, containing 69 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Section 39 of the Maungaraki Settlement, and being all the land described in an occupation licence registered in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as Volume 533, folio 95.

This is the first publication of this notice.
