SOUTHLAND CATCHMENT BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Office Building Loan 1954, of £25,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other powers in that behalf it enabling, the Southland Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £25,000, known as the Office Building Loan 1954, authorized to be raised by the Southland Catchment Board under the above-mentioned acts for the purpose of erecting an office building, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourteen-thousandths of a penny (0·014d.) in the pound (£) on the capital value of all rateable property within the Southland Catchment District as defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 20, dated 22nd March 1945, at pages 304–305; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Southland Catchment Board held on the 21st day of February 1955.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Water Reticulation Improvements Loan 1954, of £10,400

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Henderson Borough Council held on the 23rd day of March 1955:

‘‘In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,400 authorized to be raised by the Henderson Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for improvements to the Henderson Borough water-reticulation system, the said Henderson Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and fifty-four hundredths of a penny (1·54d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Henderson; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’
