Time and Place of Elections by Fire Insurance Companies to Fill an Extraordinary Vacancy on the Fire Board for the Upper Hutt Fire District and the Fire Committees for the Blenheim and Picton Fire Districts

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Tuesday, 5 April 1955, as the time, and the offices of the Council of Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Associations, 97 The Terrace, Wellington, as the place for the holding of a meeting of representatives of the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to elect a member to the Fire Board for the Upper Hutt Urban Fire District and to the Fire Committees for the Blenheim and Picton Urban Fire Districts.

Dated at Wellington this 16th day of March 1955.

Manufacture of Paua (Haliotis Iris) Shell for Sale

J. K. Palmer, 148 Ohira Bay Parade, Wellington, has applied for a licence to manufacture paua shell for sale. Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application should, not later than 7 April 1955, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 2492, Wellington.
