CORRIGENDUM

IN the notice published in Gazette, 17 February 1955, No. 12, page 260, under the heading “Licences Issued to Wholesalers Under the Sales Tax Act 1932–33”, for the words “British United Shoe Machinery of N.Z. Ltd.”, read “British United Shoe Machinery Co. of N.Z. Ltd.”, and in the same notice under the heading “Licences as wholesalers issued to the undermentioned person, firms, and companies have been cancelled”, for the word “Deveich” read “Devcich”.

Declaring Lands in Otago Land District Vested in the Otago Education Board as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time by Proclamation declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 3, Block II, Town of Bastings: Area, 9 acres 3 roods 21 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 108Tn.)

All the land on Deposited Plan No. 695, being part Section 13, Block IV, Crookston Survey District: Area, 3 roods 27 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 81, folio 276.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 16th day of March 1955.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being provisional State forest reserve No. 1741 set apart by Proclamation dated the 7th day of October 1930, and gazetted on the 9th day of that month, is required for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land, and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.
