TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loans listed in Column 1 of the undernoted schedule, which loans the Timaru City Council are authorized to raise under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes shown in Column 6 against the respective loans, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes and levies in respect of each loan the special rates shown in Column 5 (such special rates being expressed as decimal fractions of a penny in the pound) upon the whole amount of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Timaru; and that such special rates shall be annual-recurring rates during the currency of such loans and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the relative loan as stated in Column 4, or until the relative loan is fully paid off.”

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Skating Area Loan 1954, £7,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000 (seven thousand pounds), authorized to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing an open air skating rink and providing seating, dressing rooms, and lighting, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4/100ths (four one-hundredths) of a penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 17th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Certified a true copy of a resolution passed at an ordinary meeting of the Napier City Council held on 20 December 1954.

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Housing Loan 1954, £10,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Patea County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Patea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of dwellings, the said Patea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/25 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Patea County comprising the whole of the County of Patea; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The common seal of the Patea County Council was hereunto affixed pursuant to a resolution of the Council in the presence of—

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waitemata Electric Power Board Consumers Advances Loan (1946), £25,000, Balance £10,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively, the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purposes of—
“(a) Making advances to the owners of any premises for the purpose of enabling them to do all things necessary to connect their premises with the Board’s electric works or for the purpose of assisting them to purchase motors, fittings, machinery, and other equipment for the use of electrical energy in their premises:
“(b) Installing motors, electric wires, electric lamps, and other fittings and equipment in exercise of the powers conferred on the Board by section 118 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925:
“(c) Purchasing motors, fittings, machinery, and other equipment for sale or lease in exercise of the powers conferred on the Board by section 120 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925:
the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 6/1000ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said District appearing in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 18th day of October 1923, and altered by Proclamations appearing in New Zealand Gazettes dated the 27th day of November 1924, the 26th day of August 1926, the 7th day of March 1929, the 24th day of January 1935, and the 14th day of April 1954, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was carried at a meeting of the Waitemata Electric Power Board held on the 20th day of December 1954.
