Tuhara Riding, County of Wairoa
All that portion of the Wairoa County, in the Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay Land Districts, bounded as follows: commencing at the sea coast where the western boundary of Nuhaka Riding, hereinbefore described, intersects; thence following the western boundary of the Nuhaka Riding as hereinbefore described to its junction with the boundary between Wairoa and Cook Counties hereinbefore described, being the south-westernmost corner of Section 2, Block V, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction generally by the boundary of Wairoa and Cook Counties to its junction with connecting point F4 on M.L. Plan 16280 on the southern boundary of Part 2b, Mangapoike Block; thence by the southern boundaries of said Part 2b Block, and Lot 1, D.P. 1559, Block VII, Opoti Survey District, to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Section 6, Block VI A, Opoti Survey District; thence in a southerly direction by the eastern boundary of said Section 6 produced to the middle of the Mangapoike River; thence by the middle of the Mangapoike River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 680, Block X, Opoti Survey District; thence southerly and westerly to and by the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Lot 1, D.P. 680, again southerly and westerly by the eastern boundary of the said Lot 1, and the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 680; thence in a southerly direction by the eastern boundaries of Lots 4 and 2, D.P. 3252, the eastern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 3253, to the middle of the Kauhauora Stream; thence down the middle of the said Kauhauora Stream to its confluence with the Papawainau Stream; thence in a southerly direction generally up the middle of the said Papawainau Stream to the north-western corner of Section 4, Block XVII, Opoti Survey District; thence again in a southerly direction by the eastern boundaries of Paeroa 2a, 2c, 2b 1, 2b 2, 2f 1, 2g 6c, and 2e 6b Blocks to the northernmost corner of Section 3, Block XVII, Opoti Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction by the north-eastern boundaries of the said Section 3 and of Section 1, Block II, Clyde Survey District, to the easternmost corner of the said Section 1; thence in a southerly direction generally by the eastern boundary of the said Section 1 and the northern and eastern boundaries of Tukemokih 3c 3 and 3a 1 Blocks, Kairangi 2b 4 Block, the northern and eastern boundaries of Kopua D Block, the eastern boundaries of Kopua B Block, Lot 9, D.P. 3916 (Hawke’s Bay Registry), and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the sea coast, including the crossing of the Waiatai Road, the Gisborne-Wairoa via Moree State Highway, and the East Coast Main Trunk Railway; thence in an easterly direction generally along the sea coast to the western boundary of the Nuhaka Riding, being the point of commencement.
Nuhaka Riding, County of Wairoa
All that portion of the Wairoa County, in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, bounded as follows: starting at the sea coast where the Mahia Riding joins, and thence following the western boundary of the Mahia Riding as hereinbefore described to its junction with the boundary of Wairoa and Cook Counties, being the north-westernmost corner of Paritu No. 3 Block; thence in a north-westerly direction generally by the boundary between Wairoa and Cook Counties aforesaid described to its junction with the east boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 1301, Block IX, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence in a southerly direction by the east boundary of the said Lot 2 to its intersection with Mangapoike No. 3 Block, Blocks IX and XIII, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence southerly generally by the northern and eastern boundaries of the said Mangapoike No. 3 Block, the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XVI, Opoti Survey District, to and across Mangapahi Stream, across and by the eastern side of Mangapahi Road to the westernmost corner of Section 2, Block XIII, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence to and by the middle of the Makari Stream to its junction with the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block XVII, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Section 4, to and across Tahaenui Road; thence by the western side of said Tahaenui Road to its junction with the Tahaenui Stream; thence by the middle of said Tahaenui Stream to the high water mark of the sea, along the high water mark of the sea in an easterly direction to the boundary of Mahia Riding, being the point of commencement.

All that area in the Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay Land Districts and bounded as follows: commencing at a point in the middle of the Waipaoa River at mean high water mark of the sea, being a point on the Cook County Boundary hereinbefore described; thence northerly by the middle of that river to its confluence with the Te Arai River; thence westerly generally by the middle of the Te Arai River to a point in the middle of the Gisborne-Wairoa via Moree State Highway No. 49, being a point on the Waingake Riding Boundary hereinbefore described; thence southerly generally by that riding boundary to a point in the middle of the Puninga Stream in line with the northern boundary of part Small Grazing Run No. 40, being a point on the Cook County Boundary hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly by that county boundary to mean high water mark of the sea; thence northerly by the said high water mark of the sea to the middle of the Waipaoa River, being the point of commencement.

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act 1928 and to section 29 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby constitutes and declares the area of land, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto, being an area to which subsection (1) of section 30 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act 1928 applies, a rabbit district, and appoints that the name of the said rabbit district shall be the Otokia Rabbit District, and orders that the basis on which the Rabbit Board shall be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of land occupied by the ratepayer.
