Leasehold Estate in Land and an Interest in Land Taken for
Irrigation Purposes in Bannockburn and Leaning Rock
Survey Districts

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the First Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Andrew Coleman McElroy, of Bannockburn, Farmer, under and by virtue of Crown pastoral lease of pastoral land under the Land Act 1948, No. P. 43, Volume 358, folio 70, Otago Land Registry, and the interest in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Maurice Fitzpatrick Mulvena as to a four-fifths share and William Frederick Mulvena as to a one-fifth share, both of Earns-cleugh, Sheepfarmers, under and by virtue of Crown licence to occupy Crown lands for pastoral purposes No. 2005, Volume 358, folio 9, Otago Land Registry, are hereby taken for irrigation purposes.

FIRST SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the leasehold estate is taken: 12 acres 3 roods.

Being part Run 339b, Bannockburn Survey District; coloured yellow, Otago R.D. (S.O. 9931.)

SECOND SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the interest is taken: 81 acres 2 roods.

Being part Run 249, Leaning Rock and Bannockburn Survey Districts; coloured purple, Otago R.D. (S.O. 9931.)

All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 98491 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of March 1955.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water power (Winton Substation).

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 3 roods 38·6 perches.

Being part Section 25.

Situated in Block VI, Winton Hundred, Southland R.D. (S.O. 6214.)

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145379 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of March 1955.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water power.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood 37·46 perches.

Being Lots 8 and 9, D.P. 7508, being part Section 24a, Hnutohi Settlement, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 147, folio 19, Taranaki Land Registry.

Situated in Block V, Paritutu Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 2nd day of March 1955.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the National Parks Act 1952, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the extension of the Arthur Pass National Park; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 14th day of March 1955.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 20 acres.

Being Rural Section 8487.

Situated in Block XIV, Bealey Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 3, folio 53, Canterbury Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 2nd day of March 1955.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and section 170 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for purposes incidental to coal-mining operations; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 14th day of March 1955.
